How does your game fit the theme?
Bug Days of Summer is about exploring a calm town and taking care of the locals' bug infestation problem which leads up to an exciting yet unexpected conclusion.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all code with the exception of the dialogue system, and created all 3D assets and animations, and all but one texture. One of our team members composed all of the music. Any assets not made by us are public domain under the CC0 license.

The mini-games were fun, and the low poly visuals added a nice touch. Some parts could use a bit more polish, but overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
Love those mini games!!
And the 3D models with low poly are so good too!
Really enjoyed it!!
Interesting game, good graphics and sounds, well done, mini games were fun, fly hunting was like good aim training
suggestion: you can make the path to upward at the beginning more visible :D, it took me quite some time to find that way :D
Here is my game if you want to try

I understand your gripe. As we had basically no time to do any real play testing, it was a concern I had upon submission. This is something I plan to fix within the week! Appreciate the feedback!
I was not expecting that ending lol The bug infestation mini game was also quite fun. I'm confused if the dialogue boxes being
cut off mid
sentence was a stylistic choice or just a mistake.
The dialogue text was not a stylistic choice, but was the default functionality of the dialogue system we used. I did not spend anytime customizing the type writer effect at all, as there were many more tasks that I had to prioritize before deadline. I plan to take a look at it soon and make things flow a bit better. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice job! Love the models - had a nice cozy time with it. :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It sounds like you saw the calm before the storm, but did you see the "storm" at the end?
I didn't sadly! I couldn't find Sheri hahah 😅
What a shame! If you feel like giving it another try, Shari's house is in the southeast corner of the map. She's inside her house, so you just interact with the house directly. The Mayor usually gives the most helpful hints of where to find everyone.
This was a pretty big project for us (there's more than there appears at first), so we stretched ourselves pretty thin and I think we dropped the ball on clarity in some places. That's why I'm thankful for your feedback!
Oh I see, I also couldn't find the sheri, I will also check for that later when I have more time :D
actually I am curious I will check now lol
I am stuck in the corner of pool :D
Ohh, this time I am stuck at shari's house's walls, is it only me :D
Nice models, the webgl version didn't really work that well but the desktop version worked flawlessly (on linux). Good job!
Yes, we're looking into the problems with the web build, I think that qualifies as a game breaking bug. Isn't that just how it goes? lol
We didn't get to watch any playtests of our game before submission, so we're really fishing for feedback. In particular, we want to know, how far did you make it through the game? Did you play it through to the end?
Nice retro style models!
Wow! Getting reviews already! We didn't have time to watch any playtests of our game, so we're really fishing for feedback. In particular, we want to know, how far did you make it through the game? Did you get to the end?
