Loved how cute this concept is.. nice beats, nice 'story' moment of what we feel about performing in public.. Nice work.
I really enjoyed playing this game, even though rhythm games with more than 2 buttons are my weakness. I could not get past level 1, but I loved the music, the UI was smooth and well designed, the artwork was phenomenal (I loved how the audience was nodding their heads :D ), and my button presses were timing up just fine, which is better than a lot of rhythm games which struggle with latency issues. I do agree with some of the other commentors that requiring the player to be perfect is a little harsh, but overall, you did an amazing job!
Dang, that was awesome and fun! The timing function was great. It's how it feels in real life when you make a mistake on stage, lol. Great job!

Nutts pixel art. Some problems with the audio in the Main Menu, but I had fun.
This game is amazing! Takes me back to my DDR / GH days. The first level was fun, next I went straight to hard mode and BAM! I was out and trying again and again and again!

I loved the game! I feel like you lose too quickly, it was hard for me to finish a level because if I missed 2 or 3 notes, I lost immediately. Maybe having more lives could help! But I really love rhythm games since I'm a musician myself. Are you a musician too? Congratulations! It looks like you managed to create something musical in a simple yet effective way, which is not easy!
Yeah, it really is a bit too punishing :( I had another idea to make it less frustrating while still keeping on theme, but unfortunately, I didn't have the time to implement it. And no, I'm not a musician! Hahaha I even tried making my own music for this jam because I wanted something very specific with guitar sounds, but the only ones I found were AI-generated. So I gave it a shot... but wow, it's so confusing!
Yeah, making a music game is not easy! It's really tricky to make it feel like you're actually hitting the rhythm. We once spent six months making one, and it worked, but the arrows never felt perfectly in sync with the beat, haha. I saw that you've made other games before—have you been doing jams for a long time?

Finally managed to play the game! Apparently it had to do with the itch app!
The game was not only beautiful, but really cool to play. I love rythm games :D One thing i would have liked, was that the arrow in the book would pre show me what arrow will arrive next. That would be rly nice!
Oh, I didn’t know Itch had an app! It looked like the downloaded version because it shows the original file names for the game, 'potion-beat' haha. But thank you for playing! That was my initial plan for the arrow, but I didn’t have time to implement it. T_T

Nice work on the art and music choices! I found it a little unforgiving on late presses, but satisfying when you get through it.
