Nice idea and a unique way for a first person shooter concept. The controls are a little bit wierd but if you improve them a bit, this game can be really fun.

Nice work :)

Thank you! :)

I really like the concept of this game, I think it has potential! But like others have said, the FPS controls are really bad. If I had to guess I'd say you did some of the physics calculations in Update() instead of FixedUpdate(). Definitely room for improvement but hey that's what learning is for. It was fun to try! I would be grateful if you would also try my game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and the feedback! :D

I think I was only taking input in Update()
At first I was trying to use RigidBody.MovePosition() but that didn't work out well, so I went with addForce instead, so that I can move on and not get stuck at the beginning.

But after the jam I'll have time to experiment; so chances are, I may rework the movement System.

I'll be sure to check your game! :)

I wanna start off by saying, I LOVE the concept of this game, but there are a few little things that stop it from being as great as it could be. I also want to start off by saying I did have a lot of fun playing! The main mechanic is just very simple, intuitive and fun. My critiques: I think everyone will prop. tell you this, but the FPS controlls are too slippery, which makes it really hard to position yourself and often makes you slide off platforms. This wasn't too bad since you spent most of your time in the air anyway, but should be adressed in a future version. I really think you should keep developing this as it's super cool! Secondly, I love flying around, but being used to rocket jumping in TF2 and quake and such, there is one thing that kind of annoyed me: when I have forward momentum, and I shoot the floor underneath me, I'm expecting to 'bunnyhop' off it while maintaining the same forward speed I first had. Instead in this, it overwrites the previous speed and replaces it with upward speed (regarding the surface normal, I suppose.) I'd love it if the game would add that vertical speed onto my previous momentum, which would be pretty easy to implement too and would make wall jumping and such a lot easier and faster! The last little complaint I had that was that sometimes enemies would get stuck on walls and I wouldn't be able to push them on any side really, so I'd be good to always surround enemies by spikes on all sides. I think this game definitely has potential, so I hope this feedback is useful. Good job on the entry!

Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback! :D
I'll take a note of it!

I'll likely work more on this in the future, at least to fix things that didn't turn out the intended way, and perhaps make a few more levels!

I didn't wanna get stuck on the FPS controller during the jam, but I may rework it for the post-jam version.
I also knew the lack of bunnyhopping in midair was annoying but the idea of how to fix it didn't occur to me, so thanks for the tip! :D

I did enjoy playing this game, my only issue is that the controls in the air were a bit wonky and when you get hit by the enemies, you just get thrown. Also,  Sometimes,  shooting the enemies onto the ground, they miss the spikes and therefore do not die. Keep up the good work,  I love the concept of it!

Thanks for the feedback and playing! :D

The game seems like it would be a lot of fun but my computer is having a slow time running the game. I really like the enemies and I really like the sound effects! Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you!
I'm sorry you couldn't run it well :(

Congrats on submitting a finished game to the jam! I just wish you had some more time to polish some stuff out! Keep it up! I loved the audio and the main mechanic is super interesting!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! C:

Unfortunately, the last 3 hrs of the jam was a catastrophe. Progress was lost and then when fixing the problem I ended up breaking some other things.

But in the end I'm glad to have made a game. I'll need to rest a while before I join another jam tho xD

I'm never gonna play dodge ball with demons again. Pretty alright in overall, this needs textures to the world, and maybe some checkup on the shapes. I'm assuming you used pro builder for this or something? At least the prefab grid seemed like the on in it.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :)

Yes, I did use probuilder here

Pretty cool game! Kinda felt like i was sliding around on ice though and the lack of air control didn't help. The controls/movement was weird but the concept was super cool and I enjoyed it a lot! (I'm also a sucker for rocket jumping)

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!
Your game looks pretty cool too! I'll be checking it out :D

Fun game. I like the usage of the gun in a different way then normal. Movement feels a bit weird but I guess it also adds to the mechanics.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback. I'm glad you liked the gun mechanic!
And sorry for the late reply
