Really nice stuff in here! The rope mechanic was really cool, and all the extra polish with the cutscene and the effects in game definitely elevated the experience! The slo mo jump took a bit to get used to but after I figured it out it was pretty easy to navigate normally. Awesome job!
The core gameplay of fast movement, fast shooting and grappling felt pretty good. The choice BG music is fine as well. But there are some caveats that I must list:
1. The camera placement was not apt fully. Often I was on the ledge and not sure what was below, and there was no way for me to check below, either by mouse or pressing in down direction. This lead to some pretty undeserving death where it was not even my fault. In this way the game essentially plays like you just dying in pits so that if you MIGHT remember the location of the pit where there were spikes. Takes the twitch fast paced action out, down to a full a halt.
2. There were enemies who were lying on their side like they were dead before I had even shot them, or another guy collided with them. Maybe intentional, or maybe not. But the first few times these sidewards lying guys shot me, it was a little hilarious. Not after a dozen times, especially when a few of them LITERALLY fell into the spike hole and kept shooting.
3. A minor one, but whenever the spinach music played, it always played on top of Hedwig's theme. Not how music should be.
Other than that it was pretty good, the on-spot slow mo sometimes was amazing, and the grapple gun gameplay was tight. Overall, good job.
I've died so many times...I just gave up at around level3/4...This is a masochistic game...
God! how much I died at the first of game because I didn't know the grabbing mechanic :)
5-star fun aspect, Nice work!
The blood effect is brilliant, they even spread onto the platforms!
And I like that the cube character would spins.
But I think you can add a little post processing effect while in slow motion, that would be much better.
Also the rope control has some rooms to improve. Keep it up!
We got a milk boi here! Well The concept of the game was pretty good! But I felt that it need a bit more adjustments to be made to make sure all fits in! You can definitely Improve the game and build more cool levels! All the mechanics are pretty sweet but something is quite off, the player is uncontrollable at times, It felt like he was running on ice and then the slomo is pretty good but with the movement added, it's pretty hard to control the character, making simple jumps felt tedious at times! And I died many times because the enemies off camera shot me from across the room. Again Good job on the mechanics, a bit of finetuning and you'll have an amazing game
Bullet time is always a win in my book. Would have loved the hook mechanic to be ore fleshed out. Good job!
