In what way does your game fit the theme?
In this platformer you interact with enemies and environment by unwinding and rewinding a yoyo.
Emphasis is placed on the rewinding part and the player has to give constant input for it to happen.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The entire code was written by me during the jam.
Some secondary systems such as the camera lock on were based on some of my previous work, but I rewrote them from scratch using my previous work as a model, rather than reusing the same code 1:1.

Love the idea, with more polish this could be a really fun game, what a great start to a unique idea!

Using a yoyo as a weapon is a unique idea, but the physics are very buggy and weird.  Also, the enemies have too much health, and as there is no reward for beating them such as loot, power ups or points, I just ran past them whenever possible.  Aside from that, the jumping and animations were really good!

A game about using yoyo's as a weapon? Original and innovative!

Throwing the yoyo feels nice, but I wish that mechanic was more developed. Simply pushing a button when near an enemy isn't very interesting or engaging. I would like more control to different throws, different throws having different effects, charging your throw, hitting projectiles to reflect them etc.... Anything that will give the player more choice.

More sounds and effects are also necessary. A sound for hitting an enemy, for when you get hit, for hitting other objects, for rewinding the yoyo, for killing an enemy etc.. More particles too! The game needs more juice.

The movement and platforming is smooth.

There are so many ways this could be better, but I absolutely love the idea. This definitely has some potential.

Cool game and cool visuals, a bit simplistic maybe, but they do their job. The idea is also well implemented as a core mechanic of the game. I see you had may idea about how to use the yoyo in different situations. As my feedback goes, I'd  make the yoyo be able to hit multiple enemies at once, and I'd add some kind of background music. I'm also very unsure about the ending: does the game finish after that big confrontation with those enemies or is there something else i didn't notice?

Throwing the yoyo is fun! However, the auto-homing of the yoyo take some challenge away as I could barely be looking at the person and it flies to his face. I tried the web version: I'm assuming the web version breaks the lighting since the preview .gif has proper light, so I won't comment on that.

Overall, I think it's a nice concept demo of how the game could be. Would love to see a full city / environment to use the yoyo in! Keep at it!

Enjoyed the mechanics of the game. Nice Job! Enjoyed the theme and color scheme. Keep it up!

I'd love to hear your input on my submission, I'm going to be continuing it after the jam so and criticisms / suggestions / feedback are welcome!

Pretty cool game! Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of playing the downloadable version due to a problem with my computer, but I love the idea!

Hey there, really liked the application of the theme (as you may have noticed(because of the name of my game) I tried it as well but couldn't pull it off like you)

Even though I couldn't find the ending I had fun playing it.
