In what way does your game fit the theme?
The theme is Rewind: So I decided to use that as a term for the old style of games, which were mostly platformers, and I decided to make the style reminiscent of old ps1 and 64 games.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I did make everything on my own, and got permission to use the music in the game from the artist themself.

A rather unconventional interpretation of the theme, but valid, I think. Unfortunately I kept getting stuck and couldn't get to properly experience the game :/

I liked the vibe you had with this game. I had some issues running it after i died the first time, but when I was in it I was having fun. The character movement was a little fast for me, and the jumping was a lot bigger than i expected, but that kind of made it funner.
Nice work!

Developer

thanks for playing! I was thinking of making minor adjustments here and there when I get the time :)

I like this game. I understand the comments that the audio could have been more apropos with the visuals, but I still like this entry.

Good job!

Could you please play and rate my game too?

Jason, did you have a chance to come back and play it? I was hoping to hear your opinion on my game and hopefully get a rating too.

Developer

Just got busy, yesterday, I played it today. You just had to wait a little while longer it's ok.

I understand that you tried to make this as an old school 3D Platformer but we see those games through tinted glasses and we remember them to be better than they actually are. So I would recommend that you reduce a pixelation a bit because its really disturbing and there are a lot of bugs. You stick to walls and you smash jump you can climb up on the wall. Also the floor is way too slippery so you might want to reduce the speed of the player. Other than that, good effort bro.

Also, this might sound weird because I criticized your game but could you please rate my game? I would be very grateful if you rate it.

Developer

let me just say I will rate your game and give an honest opinion on it when I get time, secondly I don't agree with your opinion on old school games so I'm going to keep the pixel affect and everything else about the aesthetic as is. The smash jump is intentional, you can also wall jump of you're on a wall and I agree about the slippery issue. But not everything can be optimized within the given time frame. I respect your opinion however so I'm not going to say what you said is wrong or right, thank you for giving it and thank you for your time.

I understand it. I know that the time was very less for the game to be fully furnished and whats important is for you to like what you make, and you seem to like it. So, Congratulations for making something that you enjoy.

I really liked the images in the PS1 style, maybe you could turn the music into 8bit-16bit, it would combine more. At first I didn't quite understand what it was to do and which key to press, but then I realized it was to find the tapes. Congratulations on your work, I think you can continue to develop it in the future.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. With the music it was very hard to get any that suited so i ended up going with what I had and could use.

I like the idea, what I find a bit odd is the music choice as it does not resemble the proposed theme of old playstation/n64 titles too much.
The visual style is very cute and also fitting and I really like the avatar.

Yeah the music was a last minute addition because I didn't know what else to put in, however future songs are going to be more retro similar to something of Jet set radio, and the theme was originally going to incorporate more of a skater game vibe (kind of like Tony Hawks pro skater or Underground) but I didn't get the time.

Thanks for the compliments though!

Hi, I have some difficult to understand what to do .. The idea is not bad and you did a lot of work on 3d.

I think you should polish it a little bit more.

Developer

Thanks yeah I didn't do well in given instructions if you want to know what to do basically you need to find hidden cassettes throughout the level.  I'll polish it when the voting ends as I can't update it until then.

I really like the pixelated 3D vibe! if it had a bit more clarity and a tiny bit more direction this game could be fantastic. I love it and cant wait to see you improve

Developer

Thanks! While making it for the game jam I forgot about giving people a direction however I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway, I'll probably make more updates in the future because I had fun working on this project.
