Love the idea and the graphics. The background music goes well with the game's theme. The camera is a bit slow and the player is a bit "floaty", also an indicator to show that the weapon needs to be reloaded would be good as well but overall a fine submission. Congrats🎉

In what way does your game fit the theme?
You can rewind time with the time-stone to get around obstacles. Rewinding time also disturbs the dead and makes them come out of their tombs.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote most of the code ourself and made our sprites + used only CC0-type assets to create the game.

I like where you were going with this, however I was getting stuck on platforms alot and the controls were a bit slow, but thank you and keep at it!
Pretty good. However, I kept getting stuck to the platforms, and the controls overall were a bit weird (especially on slopes). I also don't get why reload mechanic was added since it doesn't add much to the gameplay other than annoying the player. Something like auto-reload when you touch the ground, or auto reload every few seconds would have been better. Rewind & recoil mechanics were cool.
Two things: I dont know if being stuck on the rocks is a feature or a bug. If it is a bug, you might want to put a Physics Material 2D with 0 of friction. 2: please, add checkpoints.
The recoil mechanic is cool, but I kept getting stuck on platforms at the beginning of the level. Some of which forced me to restart because I couldn't get out. Very nice art though!

We'll definitely take more time to fix things like getting stuck on platforms and stuff for the next game jam, since that's probably the thing that most people struggle with. We sadly didn't really manage to fix it in time without breaking all of the movement systems we had so far lel.

Really nice sprites and sound effect! Had some issues with movement when going near walls.
Super cool game. The idea is well thought out it seems, but as it is right now the game is difficult to control, and the slow moving camera doesn't make it easier. Could definitely see this become a full release with some more work :D
I'm really happy that you liked the idea. We had a lot of ideas that didn't make it into the final game jam release and now we think about making a few more stages, fixing the movement and in general overhauling every aspect of it. We had a desert stage planned that introduced you more in-depth to the controls and the time-stone. We also planned to have a boss fight against Anubis at the end, but we couldn't manage to finish them both in time sadly.

Using recoil from the gun makes for more engageing platforming. I liked the way you used the time rewind mechanic and it fits with the overall theme of the game nicely. I wouldn't be able to pass some obstacles without sticking to walls and firing though. This can be fixed by adding Platform Effector to the walls in Unity ;)

I really couldn't figure out how to fix the sticking to walls bug without breaking all of the movement systems we had so far, and I didn't want to spend so much time fixing a bug when we still had so much more to do :D Jams are stressful but really fun.
I will definitely check out the Platform Effector now.
Nice game, this idea could lead to some cool puzzles! It would have been nice to have a safe area to play with the recoil before starting though as I kept dying!
Yes we definitely should have eased the player into the controls first before beginning all of the platforming bits.

The rewind was used in a different way from the usual games and I must say that it is quite interesting. The jump boost obtained from the shot is a nice mechanic. Anoter thing that i liked is the rewind effect.
The only bug I noticed is that the player is sticks to the walls and it looks like a cheat.
I think the recoil jump is pretty fun to play with. We need more checkpoints to have the freedom to jet ourselves everywhere!!
Just a nitpick here is that the reloading could be done automatically, since you already have the nice audio sound to indicate it.

We definitely should have added some checkpoints but we sadly didn't have that much time to work on it, which is why a lot of cool things got scrapped. I will definitely make sure in the future that the game is less punishing.
The recoil is very annoying since you are almost guaranteed to fall every time you fire.
