In what way does your game fit the theme?
Use the rewind theme, taking enemies and barriers back in time, thus allowing you to advance

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all the code is written by me. The fonts used have been made by my graphic artist. The music is also ours.

Original approach on the theme! There are some bugs that need to be fixed but that's normal in jams, and maybe it was too short, with more levels this game will be more enjoyable. Anyways, good job!

Developer

Yes, I agree, in a next update I plan to add more levels. Thank you very much!

Good Game, although once they fire you can't dodge or get away from the, when you go left the player gets stuck and can't go back, a tutorial would be needed.

Edit: Maybe Make it so you can dodge the bullet by tricking it to go to the enemy.

Developer

Yes I agree. Thanks for playing! :D

The rewind system is so cool! I also really like the death effect. Good job.
Please play and rate my game as well: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/723379

It's cool to see mechanics that change the environment/enemies on rewind in some way, but those bullets honestly were a little unfair as you can't even dodge them haha
Also, on the 3rd area, the moving platform got stuck when I first rewinded and I had to restart the game to get it going again.

Developer

Yes, sorry, the game currently has a lot of bugs lol, with a next update they will be fixed. Thank you very much for playing!

I really like the concept of rewinding and fast forwarding to change the level! I can imagine there are lots of interesting puzzles you can create with that

Developer

Yes I agree! Thanks for playing! ;D

Really cool game, though there's a annoying bug, when you rewind, you have to press with your mouse to be able to move, i really liked the rewind mechanic, but forward mechanic was pretty useless

Developer(+1)

Yes, I couldn't think of anything to use with this. When the jam is over I will include more leves! Thanks for playing!!

A short but sweet game! I would love to see where this game goes from here. There's a lot of potential here, and I thought it was cool to see how different objects get affected by the rewind/advance mechanic. Great job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! Yes, when the jam is over the game will receive severe updates ;) Thanks again!

That was an interesting game! I actually thought I was the hunter for some reason until after a while I saw the bird moving according to my controls haha.

The good:

  • Decent art (characters are good but background is rather bland)
  • Good music
  • Rewind effect
  • Mechanic and use of the rewind feature
  • Cute ending

The things to fix to enhance the game:

  • Add a few more levels, you can go very far with this game!
  • There's a short delay after the rewind ends that I thought the game bugged out on me when I just had to wait a little more
  • Bullets were a little buggy

Good job and congrats on the game! I hope you can check out our game too, leave a rate and comment! Feedback is really appreciated :)

Developer

Wow, thank you very much! I really appreciate your advice! Of course, I'll play your game! ;)

Great idea. I love the graphic effects of reversing the tree. At first I thought it was a bug that I couldn't fly over the tree haha. Music is good and the game is relaxing. A little better on the player movement controls would have been nice.

Developer

Thank you very much for the tips and for playing! :D

what the fuck did i just play ahahahahah

the game is fun, good idea! unfortunatly, relly buggy. Good job though

Developer

Yes, sorry, I didn't have much time to fix bugs. Thanks for playing! :D

Cool puzzles using the rewind mechanic!

The one thing I would change is that right now after you use the rewind, the game freezes for a while and doesn't let you move, which is a little frustrating.

Developer

Yes, I agree, I will fix it in the future. Thanks for the tips and for playing!
