In what way does your game fit the theme?
You can rewind the player projectile and kill enemies while it's rewinding and activate pads

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Most of the code was written by me, main mechanic code was from Brackeys rewind tutorial and enemy waypoint code from Sebastian Lagues Intro to game dev tutorial E23.
All assets are made by me and Vajdani (doesnt have an itch account)

The mechanics of this game are very well thought out! It took a while to get the hang of it, but then it's quite smooth.

I liked the concept of the game. It felt like what could be a harder version of Wii Tanks. I actually had a lot of fun with how it works. I really think that music could enhance this experience quite a bit. I didn't make it too far but some variety in enemy type early on would also be cool. Overall I think its a solid game that could be really good with some tweaks.

Loved the visuals and the mechanics. Great polished game even at this point. Good job!

Could you please play and rate my game as well?

This felt... REALLY AMAZING HOLY SHIT..
Game feel is top notch.. graphics fit completly, the audio is perfectly timed and choosen.. Well done!!

I'd suggest movement on the WASD keys, would make it more confortable to play

The mechanic is very interesting and you can do a lot of cool stuff with it.The game is also realy good looking and very juicy/ satisfying from both a visual and audio perspective.

My criticisms are mainly with the hit registration. When I rewind while the projectile is right inside a purple enemy it doesn't kill it and it's annoying. I did not notice that i can charge my shots until the level with the pit and even then the projectile would't get to the enemy i don't know why. Also the movement is momentum based which makes it really annoying to control tightly.

I really like the polish on this game, it doesn't feel like a jam game at all. I didn't feel like the slash was necessary at all, but maybe it's just me. Overall the main mechanics are well done and player movement is crisp

I really enjoyed the unique mechanics to it and the sfx are very satisfying.  I like how you add very simple levels to explain the new mechanics.  Feedback wise, the UI could be a lot bigger, especially the slash cool down, but other than that, very cool and unique game!

Things I liked, This is actually a very fun shooter game you have here! The concept of having a bullet that can only harm enemies in one direction and then you need to reverse it to harm others is awesome and you didn't clutter it by having too many bullets. Only having one bullet allows the player to focus more on whats going on rather than being some sort of bullet hell. I can tell you had a lot of fun thinking of the different ways to use that mechanic!

Things I didn't like, the ability to slash felt sort of useless to me and just like extra garble to give the player. If they are that close to the bullet then they could easily just require it rather than hit it and hope it goes in the right direction. Also in level 7 I believe, the one with the deep pit, the bullet wouldn't go all the across despite fully charging it. Lastly try not to make your builds saved in a rar file. Nothings inherently bad about rar but when it comes to a game jam, and just sending your games out in general, you want to avoid adding extra barriers of  entry when you want them to play it.

Overall though I really had a blast playing your game and I hope you continue to work on many more games in the future!

You too!

On level 7 you need to shoot and slash at the same time. The slash mechanic becomes more and more useful as the levels go on, although your idea is rly not bad, i kinda like it! (PS: im gonna play ur game too)

I can't for the life of me pass level 7 and I have no idea why - the projectile never travelled far enough at all so my comments will be based on all levels before that:

1) I want to give praise to your controls, it feels nice to play - polished and tight! Very responsive with the slash shooting. Very satisfying to shoot an enemy, rewind it back to you and slash it towards another group of enemies again.

2) Very simple but effective artstyle. Pleasant from the start all the way to the end of my session.

3) Great UI - especially at the main menu where you give us room to experiment with the controls a bit before jumping into the game. Kudos for good tutorial!

There are so much great things from the great game design that just makes this a fun game to play! I enjoy it!

On level 7 you have to shoot and slash at the same time for the projectile to reach. Glad you found it fun!

This is a really well-designed game. All fits together and I really like the style/art of the game :). Rewind system also nicely implemented.

I like the simple retro art style and sound effects. It also has a nice challenge curve, which is really good since the shooting mechanic takes a bit to get used to!

If you have a chance, please check out and rate my game, The Case of the Deviant Detective. I hope you like it!

this game feels really really really good, and great job on the enemy AI, i like how they dont immediately snap onto you but take time to rotate.

this game can be really expanded upon and even may be turned to a mobile version.

great job!
