In what way does your game fit the theme?
When the player reaches the Sun Temple the sun rewinds and the next character has to make the same journey, or else the sun will go down forever.
Hope you can ignore the fact that the game is by no means finished, it has a way too big scope for me as a single dev who started Unity just 4 months ago and very limited time over the past week... lesson learned I guess :) Read the game page for controls, as a hint, because I didn't have time to implement the tutorial: the farmer can ground-pound on trap doors. Also there are 3 player characters in total.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I worked on this project by myself using Unity 2019.4 with Game Creator, and used premade art and sfx assets. The music was written for the game during the jam by Tunglith.

Oh boy, it might not be much of a game right now, but what a looker. Thats a strong art direction right now. I can see where ambition knee capped you a bit, with such a short time frame.
Getting the trap door open was an especially tricky one, glad I gave it a couple minutes of stomping though to get to the ninja, just to emediately get sandwiched between two enemies and get inescapably stuck.^^
I really hope you'll polish it up once the jam ends, whats actually there so far looks and plays great.
Thanks for playing and being persistent enough to get to the ninja. A shame that you didn't get to the samurai because of buggy AI. I will polish it up for sure, already fixed the stomping to work properly and added proper animations when falling down to the basement and climbing up the ladder. But I'm in the middle of miz jam now, so gonna finish my game for that first.
Hope you can check Last Sun Haiku out again after the update and experience it in full :)
Looks good and the idea is great, I do wish it was a little more flushed out but I did read the description and its understandable that more couldn't be done, especially since its only your second game. it looks amazingly stylized thought and I do love that.
my best bits of advice I could give would be to consolidate the controls between characters, even if there was a tutorial with how fast I had to switch characters the difference in controls was a bit hard to play.
other than that I think you could turn this into something likeTrine and it would work very well.
Thank you for your feedback. I still have to think about how to expand on the idea. Trine looks really interesting and definitely gives me a bunch of ideas that would make sense for this game as well. A good inspiration. I actually thought of making the characters switchable mid-play, but then there wouldn't be any rewind, so for the jam it didn't make sense.
I'm working on an update that fixes all the major bugs and planned missing features and adds things like a proper tutorial. Hope you can check it out again, when that releases. (Currently I joined another jam, so it might take another week before that comes out haha)
Pretty good graphics you got there :D! here are some of my complains:
Would be good if there is a tutorials on what to do.
Seems like i cant die from the enemy hits? if i can would be good if there is a health bar.
There is a bug where i kinda got push out of the map (closer to the camera).
nonetheless, great music and art! good job! :D
Thanks for playing and giving feedback. Currently the player can't die. I'm working on implementing that as well as the tutorial and many other things with the next update. I still have to figure out how to keep the player stuck on the x-axis so the character wouldn't get pushed off.
i'll relay the compliment for the music to the composer :)
if you are using rigidbody i think being in dynamic makes them push-able. good luck! :)
These graphics are insanely good!!! And i feel like you reached way more than most peaople did.
It was a really submersive Experience and really fun to play!
(I would apretiate if yo could also check out my game ;-) )
as an artist, the graphics of this game are definitely inspiration, keep up!
Oh my god!!!!
This game is awesome! The universe that you created in this immersed me since the start. Amazing character design and visuals! If you continue to work in this, I need to follow up!
Amazing job!
Really appreciate the enthusiasm and the follow. :) I'm in the process of bugfixing and updating, so hope you'll check it out again after the jam!
Oh, glad to hear this!
If you have time, check out our game too~~
Hope you have a great day, mate!
Awesome work, so much passion with character and overall game design, absolutely worth playing it, keep on updating it, more content, more smoother gameplay, but it is the same with Tiny Kingdom, too much too include in too less time, haha...
Thanks for checking my game out. I can't take too much credit for the character design, they are from the asset store. I just modified the enemies to fit to the Japanese theme. An update is in the works, the ground pound is already fixed. But more to come for sure. It's really not that much time available when you also have a full-time job... I'll check out your game, when I have some time.
That's right about the job :-) yeah, would be nice if your check out our game... but the same here, too much to include in too less time, but I'am proud of it and now we are on it to increase the user experience and overall game content. See you.
Freaking beautiful. Also I think it would be awesome if the gameplay was something like 'grimvalor'. Your game could do incredibly well on ios and android app stores.
Thanks for your suggestion. I checked out grimvalor, and it's an interesting idea, but would be immensely more complex to do if I wanted to keep the concept of the three playable characters. I'm working on the post-jam update first to get it how I envisioned it for the jam, but gonna keep it in the back of my head!
Your game is simply gorgeous! I really enjoyed playing it! Hope you continue the game postjam. Would love to see something like this with a story on mobile!
Thanks for your comment, glad you had a good time playing. I will include more backstory in the post-jam update in 1.5 weeks. Hope you'll check it out!

Love the art style and the sound. It was really fun too play. I could imagine playing it as a full game.
Great Audio design and art style! I wish the game would be longer. A long story game in this setting would be great!
Thanks for checking out my game, did you play with all three characters? Maybe it's already longer than you think haha
I'm gonna attempt to add a bit more story in the beginning that sets up the back story better, and get the full play time to maybe 15-20min. I'm not convinced it should actually be longer than that. But maybe more comments like that can change my mind ;)
I played all 3 characters! I really enjoyed slashing the katana with the third one. I'd say something between 20 and 60 minutes would be awesome!
Dude you have to continue on this game. I really had soo much fun.
The graphics are amazing. Musics makes you feel the environment.
Amazing job! As I said please continue on this game!
Appreciate the enthusiasm. I will definitely fix the game jam version to be how I envisioned it while making it. Not sure it should become much longer than 15-20 min though.
Be sure to check it out when the jam ends!
i really like the graphics and the music. the controls where a bit weird but other than that i really like the game.
I really like this graphic. The audio is chilly and the controls are good. Only if you want to make your attack, the enemy will run under you and you land on his head. But the game is good :)
It would be cool if you also rate my game^^

Thanks for checking out my game. Yeah, I ran out of time to implement the pound when the farmer is landing on top of enemies. Gonna be one of the first things that will be addressed with the post-jam update. Did you manage to play with the other characters as well, or only the first one?
Will have a look at your game for sure
I played with the first and second ^^
Still missing the samurai then haha
Beautiful graphics!
No need for the quotation marks in the win phrase, you made a game; and one full of potential. I hope you continue its development!
Thanks for the encouraging words and playing the game to the end. The quotation marks get added when frustration was high during the final minutes before the deadline ;)
There is gonna be a huge update in two weeks where I'm gonna implement all the things I didn't get to and also fix some of the bugs that made it in. Hope you can check it out again then and give more feedback again.
