In what way does your game fit the theme?
The two characters can combine, and they will become stronger if they are combined together.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code was written by me, but the assets were made by o_lobster. Credits in game description.

NOTE: if your character stops moving while playing in-browser, click the fullscreen button and then click the black space, you should be able to move again. Or you can try play the game on my website https://www.david-harrington.co.uk/hooded-brothers.html

The game was really good and polished in general, and I especially loved the artstyle.

The movement was also great, and had of polish, it was super fun to just dash around and stuff.

There's also just a bunch of smaller things that just add a bunch to the game, like the well designed gui, or the level complete screen with the stars and stats.

One minor nitpick I have about the game would probably be the controls, mainly the jump being mapped to Z, but that's just a really small nitpick.

Overall, great game with a lot of polish, well done!

Very nice one. One of my favorites this jam.
The best thing about this is the movement of the characters. Really nicely polished. The best movement I have seen this jam. Good job on the coding. The art is awesome and consistent. And the sound effects are nice.
Good level design.

Very Noice!

This game looked and sounded awesome. And on top of that the game play was super fun and a satisfying challenge. Movement was a little tricky to be precise but I'm sure with more time I could have gotten the hang of it. Really really well done, great job.

Cool little game! I must say that you could of given the guys a bit more life, especially for the Jam purpose but well done!

Thanks a lot! It was great watching you play haha. I agree, I think I may have made it a little too hard, but hopefully after the jam ends that can be resolved. Thanks for playing!

I enjoyed this game a lot! The graphics looked nice, the particle FX added a lot, the screen shake was just enough. The puzzles all made sense. The timer mechanic and star rating helps to add a lot of replay value. Overall, I really enjoyed this jam entry!

Awesome art, music and movement. It is very polished game, I am impressed that it was made only in one week! For suggestions I have not much to say. Maybe introducing keys slowly (not showing all of them at once) to the player would be awesome, because I felt like there are too much keys to remember at once, at the beginning I was trying to fight and instead of fighting I constantly end up dashing like mad :D

Also restart animation could way faster.

Thanks a lot! And good suggestion! I didn't have much time left to create a full tutorial, so I ended up just showing a help screen. Thanks for playing though! :D
