In what way does your game fit the theme?
You must team up with the character's friends and become "stronger together" to get past the obstacles of escaping school.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. All code, art, and most audio were made by us.

It's very impressive what you have made in just a week. The writing is funny, from beginning to the end. The art style is very nice. I especially liked the high-detail portraits of the characters. The gameplay isn't very innovative but it's well-done regardless. The controls feel good and it was fairly challenging. Nice audio and music. Good job all around!
Games like this remind me how absolutely awesome gamejams can be. This was just really funny and charming across the board, from the simple, yet effective gameplay that was constantly funny, both from the character sprites such as the hyper-detailed janitor, to the dialogue and concept itself. Gameplay itself was fairly light, but it didn't really feel like the game needed to prioritise it much either, instead acting more as a vessel for the writing, art and narrative to shine through. Great job, also fit the theme perfectly :)
Thank you very much! Given more time we would have worked on more exciting or puzzling game-play. But you are exactly right, we focused on other aspects of the game and we are glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to play!
Good. Nothing more to say, really. I mean the art, the music the story (especially the ending) it just fits together very well. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that you are being reset once you hit a puddle or were seen by the teacher. After a few resets that got really annoying. I know it is because I am bad, but it still made it less enjoyable. There wasn't really a risk of being spotted or slipping, it just meant I had to do it again.
Thanks for playing! It's great to hear you enjoyed it. And yeah we probably made those classrooms a little frustrating. We had done it so many times we didn't realize how often you would end up being reset. Bu thanks for taking the time to play to the end!
Great game. Very nice finish
Thank you! We appreciate you playing all the way through.
This was such a cool game that got me back to my school days... The dialogue was so witty and amazing. And I had a great time. Great job to all you normal-looking devs.
cool art. I laughed alot with the dialogues. The game itself was also fun i can see this become a full game with more levels and obstacles. The message was well done also.
Good job!
Thank you, we are glad you had fun with it. Thanks for taking the time to play it.
Beautiful game. Both the intro art and the pixelart later is amazing.
The 4th wall breaking dialogues were hilarious and worked well to explain what you needed to do.
A story based game with great pixel arts!
The gameplay doesn't really matter that much in my opinion. It feels more a RPG than a platformer to me, and I love RPG.
Loved this game! The pixel art was beautiful, and the dialogue was funny! I liked the story the game told! The gameplay got a bit tiresome after a while since it was pretty barebones and involved a lot of waiting, but the other parts of the game were great! Also really like the direction you took the theme!
Thank you very much. Yeah we focused a lot on the look and coding all the interactions. We had goals of more exciting game play but ran out of time before we could implement it. We appreciate you taking the time to play.
hey, and it showed, the parts of the game you focused on were great!
Man, this game remembers me of the old Dennis the mennis game on the super nintendo. Funny dialogue awesome artwork. Only one game breaking bug, when you collect kid 2 and enter the class room again from the main hall, the player is stuck in place and can't move. (I suppose it was not meant to enter that door a second time).
Other than that this game should be in the top 10.
I'm glad you liked it. It is annoying that we missed some bugs, but I'm glad it didn't take away from it too much. Thank you so much for playing!
Hey, time constraints, it's part of the jam experience :). Bugs are just a big a part of this as the finished product.
The art style is pretty great, love the diversity and emotivity in the facial expressions at the beginning (having a similar cutscene at the end would've been great, but hey, deadlines). I think the audio tracks were a bit too simple, but I appreciate the efforts you made in making them yourself, plus they fit the theme.
The gameplay is your bread and butter 2D platformer, which works, I only wish there was something more to it, maybe having sections where you have to drop one of the kids to make progress, like with a switch or something? Right now, I don't feel there's a lot to make it stand out gameplay-wise. Still, the graphics were great and I had a nice time :)
Thank you very much! You touched on a lot of our wishlist items if we had more time. Adding a puzzling aspect with dropping kids was part of our original idea that had to be scrapped. Thank you for taking the time to play and leave such a meaningful comment.
Really loved the art style on this game, pretty fun gameplay too
The concept of this game is fantastic! I am a big fan of the humor and try to implement similar humor in my game, but enjoyed it here much more. Great job!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed our style. Thanks for playing.
Damn, i think you are really creative, the humor and art are on point from what i've seen but the game is too bugged. I can't even pass the 2nd room. The first time the controls just froze up, the second time the *red eyed teachers* meter went to -1 and the game would throw me to the beginning, the 3rd time it was already -1 and everything is stuck.
Thanks for playing! We may have made the classrooms a little unforgiving with how it restarts you. And I am bummed to see the -1 value bug was showing up. Either way thanks for giving it a shot!
