Come on, the graphics is just...how could you not like cuphead style games?! The music is great as well, the first level was a bit hard though (or i just suck), but still! Keep up!
Graphically, this is really cool looking, both the props and the characters. The first level kind of overstayed its welcome, especially when you have so little lives, and you have to start over from the beginning if you die. The shooting animation also does not play if you hit space quickly, you have to hold it for the animation to play, which is unfortunate in a fast-paced game like this.
I love the attention to detail in your game. The cartoon style and old school story telling gave it a lot of personality. Definitely reminds me of Cuphead, but the story and game design is what makes it stand out. I made it all the way to level 3. The only note that I have is that it is sometimes to difficult to tell if I will land on a platform that's below when jumping down. It would be cool if the player can tilt their head down and then the camera lets you peek down below to see where you can jump. All in all, great game!
Nice game, love the graphics and the animations.
Only thing missing for me is a button to exit the game (right now you need to kill the app) and have the space to run like the button to skip the "dialogues".

Man that cuphead feeling really made me love your game! It was really fun, the only thing I would do is try to contrast a little the characters from the background. But it was great, congrats!
