Hi! The GUI could do a polish, the default unity buttons work! but you already have a good art style in game! so why not match the GUI with the rest of the game

The idea is cool! and the controls feel smooth, you are going the right way!

Interesting.  The graphics are cool looking, especially the little gemstones scattered around the environment, the sense of light that was added to them really brought out the environment.  One thing I'd personally change is how when you get hit by a spike or a bug you immediately die and restart.  I think players should have at least some leeway in making mistakes.  I think a decent common way to provide this leeway is to give the player some type of health bar, that way the player can make a mistake and still continue the level for a bit so they don't get frustrated too quickly

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. Thanks for your feedback!

Hey, you know everyone can see you're just jumping from one game to another and leaving quick comments, right? There's barely one minute between the one you left on my game and the previous one. If you can only afford to spend one minute on a game, then please don't rate it, you're doing a disservice to everyone in the jam taking the time to give a fair rating.

Developer (1 edit)

Im sorry, but I'll have to disagree with you on this one. I can definitely speak for myself in saying that I have spent a considerable amount of time playing each game that I've rated. If I didn't like the game, I wouldn't of left a comment at all. There are 3 other members in my team that can play and rate games as well, so it's likely that we may have rated different games around the same time. The members in my team are free to play and rate games on their own accord. This isn't IGN, where people are supposed to leave detailed reviews of each video game they play. If someone played your game for one minute then be happy that they decided to play your game at all. Best of luck to you and your team.

The art is really cute and the controls are crisp. Really enjoyed playing it. Only two minor issues: the falling spikes were sometimes a little hard to see (a little more contrast with the background would've helped there) and having to mouse-click after a death was a little annoying. Would have preferred an automatic continue or pressing some button on the keyboard instead.

Developer

Totally agree with you on the minor issues that you listed. Thanks for providing that feedback and we'll definitely keep that in mind for any games in the future, and most of all, thanks for playing!

Nice game!, the graphics are cute and the idea is nice, audio is chill, the only one problem I found is with the UI, it's not interactive with the mouse and not looking so great, other than that great game good job!

I would appreciate it if you considered rating my game as well :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for your honest feedback! The UI could of definitely got a little more love so we'll take that into consideration for future jams. Will definitely check out your game sometime this week :)

Artwork is so crisp & really solid mechanics. Love the sassy looking ants.

Very cool game. Matches the theme perfectly. Awesome level design and one of the best 2D games in the jam I've played so far. Great job...
