My game is about a bull in a china shop. Total chaotic destruction!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
- All models were created by me using Blender

Short and sweet! I honestly disagree with a lot of the comments made by others, I thought the sound effects were super satisfying and no background music put the emphasis on the things you were busting up!
Would I like more levels to smash more things? I mean, yeah. Do I think badly of a game built this well for not having time to build more levels? Not at all.
Really fun entry that also fits the theme super well!

I really like the game concept though its implementation could be better, for example

  1. the menus were very static and the font was kind of illegible
  2. the soung effects related to breaking stuff were perfect but there was no background music, i think the game lacks in that aspect
  3. more levels, i know that setting up the available two levels must have been hard but more levels would make the game more fun and playable
  4. the UI elements could be made more bold such as the timer

other than that solid game, good entry

I like the overall idea. Breaking things is always fun. The graphics are fine. The sounds could be a little nicer (they seem distorted). Overall a good game, keep it up!

Developer

Thanks! I just played and rated your game as well. :)

This game is really good, destroying stuff is so satisfying but theres a few things you could do to make it better like

maybe add some music

try to make the graphics a little better

fix getting stuck on things

and make it overall less buggy

but overall it was really fun and im looking forward to new levels

also if you have the time it would be amazing if you could play my game

Developer

Thankyou for your feedback and I just played your game as well nice work. :)

Hell yeah, I'm the bull now! And guess what, I'm gonna smash some shit!

How did a bull get inside a pawn shop? Don't care! He's there  to smash some shit and he's gonna enjoy it!

But sometimes, the bull likes to ask himself, is it really worth it? How can he justify smashing so many things? Isn't he destroying lifes to? Sometimes, late at night, the bull just lies in his stable, crying, thinking of all the chaos and destruction he's caused...

And when the bull is sad, he needs to smash some shit!

What I'm trying to say is that I really like the game and I0'm looking forward to it hopefully recieving some updates and more levels!

Also looking forward to you beating up your neighbours and using the audio to add humans to your game!

Developer

Wow thats deep bro.

Don't warn my neighbors when I come for them please.

This is great! Short, sweet, and to the point. I tried the first level a few times before realizing how to smash the golden toilet. Well done!

I was excited to read that you recorded all the sound effects by smashing things in your garage. They felt a little repetitive, but they were very satisfying when breaking down huge tables and racks of objects. I hope you didn't actually smash a guitar, though!

I think you could be a little more explicit about being able to smash through a door. I lost my first run because I got stuck in the alley. Just moving the instructions to smash next to the door with an arrow would do it. But really, I don't have much to suggest for improvement. You set up the premise and deliver on it quickly and there's just enough to not let it overstay its welcome. And there's a lot you could do with this idea if you wanted to take it further.

Great job and an excellent jam game. This is the type of game that I love playing in a jam. Congrats :)

Cool Game! I like destruction, so this was very fun. I wish that I had a gold toilet, tho

Really cool game! I really liked the laser which stopped you from getting max points, that is a really good concept if you are trying to make a full release or expand the game in the future. The laser also made the game more unique than most "destroy everything in X amount of time" games.

great game love destroying things

The game is short, but it's long enough for me to enjoy it a lot. I like your take on the theme. This is madness! I'm also impressed that you made all the sounds (that's a lot of broken things). Good work!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing. Yeah I'd love to add more but there's never enough time. :)

For the sound I took my laptop and hyper x headset into the garage and started by pouring my recycling into another bin. This gave a great miscellaneous noise which I used when the shelving collapses. For the glass I hit a wine bottle in a bin with a hammer. The sound was ok. I should have used something that was thinner glass. I also took some lumber and dropped in on the floor a few times.

After my smash session I took all my samples into audacity and layered some of them and added a few tweaks to the pitch.

The security gate closing around the golden toilet was created by closing my filing cabinet and doubling the slam sound at the end for the bounce.

Fun experience. I thought the destruction was pretty satisfyingly. I also liked some of the sounds like the guitar breaking. Nicely done!

Interesting toy! I finished both levels for 3 bulls! Amazing sound effects, especially guitars. Quizes with laser line are also nice, made me retry a few times.

I think it may come into an interesting game if you continue working on levels and gamedesign. Good luck!

Very Creative, fun to destroy everything, love the guitar breaking sound effect, tho more levels would have definitely made it better

Fun destructible game :D  Agree that some ambient music would have been nice to have - but not the end of the world.
A high score tracker would be nice to compare with others how good at destroying things you are.

The text snippets on the menu were a nice touch :D

Developer

Yeah I think next time I'll just use some royalty free music. I just don't have time to make it myself.
So interestingly enough I am tracking high scores using analytics but to have it display to the players I would need to setup a server and add multiplayer elements. That would be a beginner friendly way to try out the networking with webgl maybe I'll give that a try.

Thanks for playing!

Its really fun to crash into things. Some music and more levels would have been nice tough.

Developer

Thanks for playing. I was short on time and didn't want to use someone else's music.

Submitted

I really loved crashing things hahaha
