Really cool game! Two nitpicks I had:
- Walking seems pointless. It's too slow and doesn't really give any benefit. That plus the fact that you have to hold shift to run made it a bit more annoying to move.
- White text on white/light colored background. Made it difficult to read especially in these types of games.
Of course, these are not that big of a problem but could definitely be improved upon. Other than that tho, fantastic game! Really digging the presentation. Well done!

We added the walking to contribute to the immersion of the player and to fit our main characters style. We thought it would look and feel weird if the player was always fast. But we will change that you have to hold down shift! And we will dig deeper into the font problem of course :)
I'm just really impressed by how good the art is, Good job! I just hope it was more fitting to the theme, but that was enjoyable. Impressed you've done this in a week!

I really like the entire game concept and everything works quite well. My only problem was with the white font over clear paper, which made it quite hard to read. But it's a good game nonetheless!

WOW, I am really impressed. The artwork is pleasing to the eyes and there is a lot of polish with this project. There are a few nitpicks I have with the game, such as not being able to move around when there is a dialogue about the mechanics and have to keep pressing space in order to bypass said dialogue (not sure if that made sense via text), but this project has a lot of potential!

Cool game. I usually don't go for this style, but this was really cool to see be made for a jam. Plenty of content and pretty well polished. The tutorial text (and your itch page text) are almost unreadable though. The white on white was impossible and the black on dark brown was super difficult. The art and animations here are all super charming and well done. They do a lot of work for keeping this game engaging with an otherwise pretty low engagement genre (imo). The story was fun, the characters were cute. All around a good time. Thanks for sharing this with the jam :)

Really cute game. Great atmosphere and artwork. The characters were all interesting and had personality, so great job on that. My only negative feedback is minor, sometimes the game felt a little clunky trying to transition between notebook and dialog. I think since the mouse is part of the game it makes sense to move the UI over to button driven. Overall, really good stuff.

Fun game! The Naruto run animation got me haha. Great take on the theme with a point and click murder mystery.

Cool detective game! I personally don't play a lot of detective game(if you doesn't count among us lol) but with art style and great story telling I still enjoyed it! Good job!

By far the best art I have seen yet. It's charm is absolutely wonderful. Great dialogue and animations. Wish the text was a tad faster, or speed-up-able but that's really minor. Great game!
