Man....that was a chaos!!! a bit more work can be done with post processing...but loved it

Audio is solid and the shooting is fun. Nice job on this. I really like the addition of the shop. Gives the game some longevity. I'd propose making the jump a bit less sensitive to player input. I found myself jumping and flying off the rock when I tried to correct myself. Either that or make the rocks and platforms bigger. Nice work though.

great work.

Nice game!  Not really any feedback on my end, great job getting it done in a week!

Very nice game. The gameplay was very nice. Visually the game is very good.
Maybe So sort of tower defense can be added?

Don't forget to play my game as well

Lava reminds me of mario 64, great job. :)

Thanks!

Very nice and unique concept! It was really fun and chaotic. I liked that there was a shop as well.

Great job!

Very fun game! Really like the idea, it's quite original.

At 311s a platform with 12 rocket launchers appeared... Needless to say, my record is 313s :p

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I plan on releasing an update after the jam with some rebalancing and an online leaderboard:D

The game is well made and it's fun but the pace is far slower than what I would define "chaos", especially after all the upgrades you can just jump around killing everyone without too much effort.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes, the beginning is too slow and needs some rebalancing. It starts to get quite chaotic after 300-400 seconds.

Thanks for the feedback!

Pretty fun game, definitely chaos .A lot of features added in just one week, One thing I would suggest is making either the platforms bigger or the jump more controllable as it can be quite hard to land on the rocks. Overall it's pretty cool.

WOW!!Very fun game as an artist i love the retro option and gameplay was chaotic ;), and its very unique. Goood job :D.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for playing:)

Fun game! Love how the arena is part of the menu. Jumping onto a rock with enemies feels like boarding a ship, real cool. Absorbing enemy power and money is very satisfying too

Everything was done well- the progression, the graphics, the music. This is a complete package, good job guys! I like that you are forced to jump from platform to platform, it's very engaging.

Agreed to previous speakers, the game looks so polished. Tons of work has been made I guess. While I only thinking about making some 3d games, you guys did it, and only in seven days, wow!

The game is pretty challenging at first. Shop helps. I like different missiles and effects. I hate those swimming rocks, they are sinking all the time lol. Chaotic indeed!

Nice game! Very well made in many aspects. Retro mode was a fun addition. =D

I was wondering how it would look and feel if the game was in 1st person. Since it is already 3D it would be quite easy to test out? It would be cool if there was an option to switch it or maybe buy it from the shop.

Developer(+2)

I haven't thought of a first-person mode, maybe I will test it and add an option to turn it on in the post-jam update :D

I like the concept of platformer arena shooter and I've always liked the concept "The Floor is Lava".

A few things I would address (just as recommendations, of course):
The Lava is not very dangerous because of the ability to jump. It sounds silly, but I think you should be able to gain more momentum when grounded - it creates that notion that it's hot and you want out.
The game's pacing is a little slow, which may be due to the size of the arena or lack of ability to get around unharmed. The game is a pseudo-platformer, but there aren't always good paths to take (or any at times).

Tidy up that little bit and I think people will have even more fun! Keep up the good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I plan on releasing an update addressing these problems after the jam! The beginning is a little too slow indeed, there are too few enemies and platforms.

What do you exactly mean by "gain more momentum when grounded" ?

Submitted(+2)

When you're in the Lava, you move really sluggish and have to jump to get out/gain momentum. I just feel like the jumping action should have a little less allowed momentum, requiring you to spend a short amount of time in the lava to project yourself further.

Developer(+1)

You already move at half speed in lava but you are right, the jump is so overpowered it doesn't present any danger at all. I was thinking of some system where the jump is like an ability that has a cooldown and air jumps are additional charges you can collect.

Submitted(+2)

I guess what I'm trying to say is take off the half speed in lava and tone down the jumps. I think that would be an appropriate route, making the upgrades increase the rate the ability/meter fills. Once you get it figured out, I'm sure you'll find plenty more to do :P
