In what way does your game fit the theme?
There are several random elements within the game. The longer it goes on, the more those random elements begin to come into play, forcing the player to dodge an overwhelming number of obstacles.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I have written all the code myself and have made all assets from scratch

Hello! good job on your submission

so first i appreciate the fact that u included a tutorial, most jams miss that part. The part about having many jumps as "ammunition" (3 jumps) is creative.
One thing, and i believe it has been mentioned, even though you did include some degree of randomness, and i can kinda see the chaos in the game, however u could have included more patterns or more enemies.

it is a bit hazy over which obstacles hurt the player or not, but overall i think you did a good job for a jam!

please be sure to rate our game back <3 good luck!

This was fun, though it got quite a bit easier when I realized that the brown bounders aren't actually able to hurt you. It might be cool if you could jump on them like a platform so they weren't just decoration.

The music was nice, and I thought the sound effects worked well. I would love to be able to fight back, even if it was just a temporary power up like pac-man. Running and escaping with no down time does get tiring.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!  I was thinking about allowing the player the ability to jump on enemies, but I wasn't too sure how to go about it.  The brown bouncers actually do serve a purpose, as they are the ones that summon the other enemies.  It appears I didn't communicate that too well, however.

Interesting and fun kinda fixed-screen platformer -- not sure how to put it.

Those reddy-brown bouncing blocks don't actually seem to affect the player, not sure if they're supposed to or not -- everything else does. I also think that you need to increase the heights of the triple jumps or let the player hold jump so they can go higher. Maybe having it have a max time limit you can hold jump to thruster about along with only being able to jump once. So you can't do triple jumps just have some control over how long your "jump" goes for. Anyway, just feel like even if you triple jump your not really going very high in order to dodge stuff, and would feel better mechanically if you could.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!  That would be a very interesting implementation of the jump feature.  The brown bouncing blocks aren't actually suppose to hit the player, as they are the ones spawning the enemies.

Great game !

I think the jump is not fast enough or high enough, because every time I use it I always use the 3 instantly (to make it bigger). I don't know if this is intended but the brown one don't collide with the player ?

Developer

Thank you for the feedback.  I did struggle with making the jumps a good distance, I'm still figuring out the engine I am using, and I messed up the sizing at some point.  The brown enemy isn't suppose to collide with the player as it is the one that is spawning the other enemies.  I figured that having to dodge an enemy on top of them spawning more would be too chaotic.

good game but the Audio is not good

play my game

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!  Sorry that you didn't enjoy the audio.  I'm not the greatest with audio design and I hardly know music theory, but I managed the best I could.  If you could be a bit more specific with what aspects of the audio you didn't enjoy, that would be much appreciated!

Nice game! Visuals and audio is good, adding some effects would be nice though. Gameplay is fun but for some time I thought screen bouncers damage the player. Overall: very good!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback.  I do agree that some more visual flair would've added a lot to the game, but I'm still not quite sure how the particle system works.  I should have done a better job at communicating the screen bouncers.

I liked your game, the gameplay is fun, but after some time it becomes repetitive, you should add some platforms spawning and maybe some power-ups and for the assets, great work on the design of the enemies, Keep up the good work.

Hi, it's nice to play your game. I really like the fact that you put the instruction so that is very easy to read. I also really like the graphics that you put on your game. But also there are some few problems. When the brown square hit the player, the collision is not working, and I think it is better to give the player to only have 1 life only, and in that way, it's much more challenging and help to keep engaging.

The game's pacing is very unfun - most of the time, there's no challenge (with the exception of the cool boulder), nor any prize (the coins). The patterns get boring fast. The jumping is sluggish, and the collision is janky.
The graphics and the audio were my two highlights.
Much has been said, but regardsless, keep on fighting. :)
