I thought while playing this that it would be cool if I were collecting secrets to unlock an overall puzzle, or to bring people together that couldn't communicate before. Nice use of the perspective!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
Player is inside a chaotic environment
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly, 90% of the code was done by us, the other 10% were based upon tutorials (mostly from Brackeys <3). The assets were mixed between made from scratch and using ones we have a license for.

We had an idea similar to that where you could be solving task for people since they can't easily communicate. We left it off because we knew our limitations, trying to achieve that would be over scoping and we would not have a finished game to present for this game jam (now it still needs some polish but at least we finished), so we simplified the original idea a lot, but we are working on those ideas to improve the game. BTW, having some secrets and puzzles wouldn't be bad idea, I'm literally on discord with my teammate now and I'll discus this with him.
I have no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I kept walking close to people and got points?
I don't know how the game is supposed to end. The people just keep talking over and over and the points keep going up, but it didn't seem to get harder or anything, even with the music pace increase. Also, the music stopped? Was it supposed to loop or not?
I like the take on the theme here, certainly unique. And the sprites with ancient peoples were a cool effect. I liked all the Monty Python-esque muttering in the background, too. It was a funny effect.
I eventually figured out you could keep going up floors? But the UI got weird and covered up the meters that I was supposed to be tracking. And then I left fullscreen and realized that the arches were supposed to go over the meters and that the UI scaling was mismatched for your game. That explains it. Woops :(
That song was great, I really enjoyed it and it felt on theme. Congrats for making this is just a week. Quite an accomplishment. Great job!
Heyo ~
I thought that the theme was really cool, I loved the menu UI and introductory screen with the quote.
This has been mentioned before, but I think that a tutorial would have been really nice. I don't think that the core mechanics of the game are things you need to guess to figure out, rather this should be explored through story elements and interesting puzzles. I think you might have even been able to forgo a tutorial if there were some labels on the multiple percentage bars in the UI.
I really hope that you continue to explore this theme and gameplay, I think this could be a pretty phenomenal fully realized game. Well done!
Interesting game! I feel like the concept could be explored more, since the current one is somewhat confusing and a bit boring. Though the music and art are pretty cool and the babble is pretty funny!
The concept for this game is really cool! I found it a little confusing at first, honestly, but it was an interesting experience :)
The concept is SUPER unique and interesting! The music is super catchy and me bop to the beat. The art could have been done better; it's pretty but the player being pixelated and 3D and the NPCs being 2D made it pretty jarring. Also, the text boxes were a little too far away from the characters so I was difficulty determining which NPC I was talking to. Overall, pretty fun game and one that could be further expanded. Hope to see another game from you!
The idea of loads of people that cannot communicate with each other because they all speak different languages and only you can translate for them is fantastic. You could make it so rather than collecting speech bubbles, they all could be saying actual text but it appears as english to you, but you have to read what they say and then tell their designated recipient what they told you (select from a list of dialog options each with varying information but only 1 that's correct).
With a bit of polish this could be amazing. Nice work!
Thank you so much for your feedback, we really appreciated.
Our first idea was a task system where once you approach someone with indistinguishable piece to text, it gets interpreted and now you know that you have to do something (for example, someone could tell you that they have been stolen and now you have to find the nearest guard who can be in another floor deep down or higher up), but that we realized it was going to be too much work to be able to finish in time for the jam. We will continue working on this project, polishing it more and implementing some of our original ideas like the one I just said as long as additional cool features people are giving feedback on.
Concept is cool. Maybe with a complete Story and more mechanics, it can be more fun. However, have a good moment on it.
Sorry to hear that. If you don't mind, can you try again once more? Please wait until it finish loading, the unity loading bar for some reason goes from 0 to 100 percent at the end and instantly loads the game, maybe I missed some build configuration for it to show that it's loading correctly. I don't know why, but sometimes it takes more then a minute load, maybe because of the audio files which are bigger, next time I'll improve to make it load correctly and faster.
A weird and unique game but pretty cool and definitely a new concept
Was a bit confused in the beginning. But once I figured it out it was quite enjoyable. Well done! Cool idea!
Thank you, I appreciate you time for playing our game, it make us happy to know that you enjoyed ir.
Some confusion was part of the game design, also because we thought that it would help giving a chaotic felling, which would help for this jam theme.
But most of our feedback now is that the game could have a tutorial or some form of explanation, we will definitely improve on that. We already changed our game page to explain it a little better.
Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed our game. Confusion is a necessary part of the game design haha.
But yeah, I agree that it would help to have some explanation at the beginning. We improved our game page to explain it a little better, hope it help for future players.
Wow this is quite different from what i`ve seen, really nice experience. Nice sound and graphics. I got a bit confused on what i was supposed to do and why i was losing points. But in general it is a nice game
I find this to be quite a unique experience. Interesting story idea to play off of and I think you incorporated the them well in the gameplay. I'll be honest though, I was pretty lost for a while and even reading the description didn't really give me a good sense of how to actually play the game. Maybe an in-game tutorial would be beneficial in this case.
