keep working on it it's going to be fun
I've played this for a video, it is now up!!
Thanks for playing!
Nice game! the visuals are quite good, really love the portrait. The mechanic was simple but fun
Oh boy, this was really hard to play with my arachnophobia! I really liked the visuals and how you included multiple weapons to choose from. On the other hand, I really missed some indication on the enemies' health, and their behaviour (I still have no idea if they have a melee attack or were just shooting webs point blank). Aiming with the bucket and shovel was also hard.
This reminded me of that old Unity tutorial where you fight the awakened toys as a little child, did you have that as an inspiration? :)
Overall, a fun game to play and with some more polishing on the above stuff it could be extended some more.
actually the theme itself was our only real inspiration for that. We were brainstorming ideas and sleep paralysis hallucinations came up, and we thought it would be cool to turn everyday objects with creepy silhouettes into the enemies!
I like the main character design, she was cute. For me, the default weapon and pillow worked the same too much for me to notice any gameplay difference. Maybe in the damage, perhaps? Gameplay loop was alright but gets a bit repetitive after a while. This is understandable as the jam only lasts 7 days.
I liked the wavy synths in the music here, also the shovel and bucket blocking webs was a nice touch! Like others have said, the browser version was a bit laggy, but other than that nice work!
Like the Idea, aybe you could add more Combat features.
Fun time to be had, like others say shovel and bucket op, but nice to have range, maybe get the spiders to jump more, congrats on the game.
Great graphics and a simple but enjoyable mechanic! It could be my browser, but it was a bit laggy here. Anyways. Congratulations :)
PD: I have just rated your game, I hope you can do the same with mine!
Also, Bucket and shovel is so broken! Hahah
thank you! yeah no idea why but chrome browser definitely makes it laggy other browsers are fine
LIGHT ARACHNOPHOBIA WARNING.
Not this is out of the way, that's a nice entry ^^ ! I really like the ambiance of the game, it really feels like a nightmarish experience. The gameplay is simple, but efficient. Congratulations =) !
The assets are realy cute =)
The assets and graphics are really nice,
I'd rather be able to hit where I'm pointing the mouse rather than where I'm walking, maybe put the weapon selection in the main menu as well, and maybe give the game some small narrative.
But nice work, good game!
Gotta say, game is simple :)
Pros:
Basic hack and slash! Anyone can pick the game up easily!
Weapon options are welcomed!
Shovel and pail is too OP - gotta nerf!
Cons:
Why use a pillow?
Shovel and pail is too OP - gotta nerf!
Nice game! Fun to play and simple mechanics. I don't like spiders so it felt nice killing them and at least, those did not get thousand small babys xD Great work!
Thanks XD maybe we should have had an arachnophobia warning
Enjoyed this one, cute simple art style on top of nice sounds and straight forward gameplay. Great work!
This was a fairly good game, I had to play with all three weapon types just to see what they would do. Though I do think that some depth can be added if the sword does more damage than the teddy bear at the cost of weapon speed. But I think this is a good concept that can be built off of.
