How does you game fit the theme?
The game is a horror platformer with extreme difficulty. The character gets stuck in his own mind and has to find a way out of it.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We worked as a team and our community's name is codekeys. For this jam 2 of us were working on the game from scratch. ARTWORK - zynec, Programming - sathya Narayanan (myself).
This game was made in 2 days cuz all the other days were spent on exams. All the artwork are done from scratch and nothing was used from any other previous projects

I love platformers like this, it was difficult but I played through to the end, was happy when I got to the end of it. It needs a tutorial in some way though :)
Dropped a review, come give my game a try! :)
Yea I guess so too. Thank you for playing our game and am kinda embarrassed with the end lol. Happy you enjoyed it. Good luck with the jam
Decent little platformer, I really liked how the background slowly faded into different colours as you made your way through the levels. That was a nice touch. The biggest mistake was not adding an instructions screen or controls at the beginning of the game. I didn't realise you could triple jump until accidentally trying it and almost gave up at the first couple of big spikes. Ended up playing till the end though - good work!
Thank you so much. I've understood a lot of stuff by participating in the jam. It's just that we shouldn't on;y focus on the gameplay but also provide an instructions screen. A way to tell the story and finish it 4 hour before the jam ends in order to create an end. Thanks for your feedback anyways! goodluck with the jam.
The color transition was easy. The background is just dead black. I used lights to give some crispiness. You see that both red and blue(the mainly used colors in the game) are powerful dark colors. So, I used some gaps which is filled by the black bg to slowly fade to different colors.
Interesting game,funny ending screen lol
LMAO. I didnt have time for the end screen.
It was a good game. Maybe fixing the collisions a bit would make it better. If you are using unity you can simply add a Physics Material 2D with 0 friction and 0 bounce, so tghe player won't get stuck with the platforms. Despite of that, good job!
Well, the problem for the player getting stuck is not only cuz of the materials, it's becoz I've overlapped a circle with a small radius to check if the player is grounded. That circle is also a reason. Anyway, thanks for playing the game. Goodluck with the jam.
Nice, but would have liked some feedback when hitting a checkpoint (i.e. particles or smth). There were also a bit too many blind jumps, making the gameplay less fun. The art and animation was great though!
thank you so much for playing the game and giving feedback. I actually tried increasing the camera range but all of that went down when I had to setup the resolutions. Anyways thanks for playing and good luck!
Really like the art and animation! the spike sizes are quite large compared to the body and their hitboxes are larger then they are which makes them kill you without touching them, so it removes the sense of skill-based gameplay. But since it was only 2 days of work it's impressive!
Keep it up!
You weren't kidding about it being extremely difficult.
yea lol. I was inspired by this game called 'he almost killed me'. The game was indeed dddicult but was interesting. Thank you for rating and sharing feedbacks. Really appreciated
I liked the triple jump. For me, this is quite innovative, but i don't play much platformers, so maybe it's not so uncommon? Anyway, next to the jumping i liked the big sprites a lot. Audio is missing, right? I liked to play this kind of game in silence. :-)
thank you so much for playing our game and rating it. The implementation of triple jump is actually easy when u get jsed to it. You just have to create a normal jump and then create a variable storing the maximum number of jumps. That way u could use that variable to implement this. And this game was just made in 2 days for the jam.the rest other days were spent on exams so that's why it lacked few things like audio.
nice game i really like its style maybe you could fix the jumpforce and when i am near of the spikes i die even if i didnt touche it but over all you did really a great job
Thank you for playing our game. Not sure why the error is but I didn't get any issues like data but it was made in 2 days so it might have some issues. Anyways good luck with the jam.
I like the art, Blackthornprod feels.
Idk if it's just me being bad but I felt like the hitboxes weren't so forgiving 😂
I couldn't really reach the end though😂
But great work!
thank you for playing our game and rating it. Tje main goal of the game was to increase it's difficulty inspired by a game called 'he almost killed me'. I feel the same way about the arts too. I am glad you didnt reach the end. It has the worst ending ever 🤣🤣. Anyways thanks for playing. Have a nice day!.
Pretty cool game, especially since it was made in 2 days. My game had some camera centering issues; the player was always a bit to the right. Otherwise, not bad.
Thanks for playing the game and rating it. Yea the camera needs some improvement. I need more experience with it. I used cinemachin and messed few things up in it's settings. Anyways thanks for the feedbacks.
Not a bad little platformer for 2 days. The game isn't really that hard once you figure out where things are off screen.
The embed of the webgl doesn't seem to be scaled right (at least on my screen), switching to full screen is fine. Perhaps manually setting the size on the game setup page on itch gives a more consistent result?
Thanks for playing our game and rating it. And yes the resolution had problems because we were in a hurry and submitted it just 1 hour before the jam ends. I feel that there is 10% of people that dind this gane easy 🤣. Most of my friends were mad at me for this much difficulty. Anyways thanks for playing and all the best.
Good job, I like the minimalist aesthetic (Some influence from Blackthornprod in the graphics?). It requires a bit of polishing but it's a good start.
Thank you for playing our game. Yea the lights were inspired by blackthornprod. I get the feedback but I guess it was our best to create a game in 2 days. Thank you and have fun!
Actually, I was going to make the story first. About the character getting stuck in his mind. But since I had exams and was working for only two days on the game, I didn't have enough time to create those.
Fun game. The movement is fantastic. As a player, I have great control over the player (which is important for a parkour platformer).
Thank you. Unfortunately, I cant try your game today. cuz I am not downloading any games 2day. sorry, I'll definitely play it 2mrrow. The movement was achieved by adding forces and friction rather than directly applying the moveInput. would you like me to DM you the code?
I liked the animations and the lighting, in my opinion the game is well made, but it lacked sound
Yea I see it. The game was made in 2 days so I didn't have time for sound. tks fr playing btw
I like how you animated the arms and legs of the character. It's a nice touch!
Thank you so much. It's actually pretty easy. You just have to make the sprite sheet of the player's body parts and then rotate his arms etc. Also, don't forget to set the pivot points properly. It might not be perfect at first, even it took me long experience in it to get better. If you want a more depth tutorial here is a vid:
Pretty fun game
Thank you so much. Your game is pretty fun too!
