Yes I wrote the code while my wife did art and music.

I like the artstyle and the sound effects, especially the pew sfx. The controls feel smooth and the challenge is pretty fun. Maybe more lives would be better since the player's gonna die a lot. But other than that great work! I would greatly appreciate if you could try my game out and rate it too :D

Good work! I would say the platform felt a bit cramped, so some extra space to move around would be great. Also, I saw console errors on my screen FYI.

The thing I'd change in a heartbeat would be the limited number of lives. Especially in a game like this, where you're likely to die often because of the missing platforms.
But overall it was a fun game. Good job!

Great music, I love the "pew" so much. I think the first level is a bit too hard, you really want to hook the players in with the first level, and making it too difficult can turn off a lot of players, just something to keep in mind when designing levels. I personally loved this game, it's a very well made platformer that fits the theme, excellent work!
Since this is already getting a BUNCH of great feedback, I won't echo what everyone is saying too much. I think it starts off too hard, but the controls are good. The camera is an issue, but the graphics are lovely. The sound/music is the real highlight, and I even appreciated how the song lyrics hid a tutorial in there. I might steal that one day (and credit you). Thank you for this. Nicely done and congratulations!
Realy cool game, loved the SFX's and typical platformer music!
The sound effects made me chuckle!! The game looks extremely cute and the atmosphere is super charming! For some reason the dev log is open when you start the game.
I wish the shooting was set to a key instead. I think if the running controls were set to the arrow keys, the jump could stay at space, but then the shooting could have been Ctrl instead maybe? Shooting just felt a bit unnatural to me with the mouse since you couldn't control where the bullet was aimed at. Otherwise nice work!

At first it seemed like it was impossibile, then I discovered I could shoot... But it is still hard! :P

Thank you! The audio was something we really weren't sure how to tackle. Neither of us really know anything about making music. But it sort of opened us up to thinking outside of the box. We saved it for last and thought it was hilarious, but we weren't sure if it was actually funny or if we were just totally sleep deprived and losing our minds. I'm glad to see everyone else enjoyed it as much as we did!
Really good stuff you got here! The shooting mechanic is really interesting! The camera movement is really nice,, definitely makes the gameplay harder because you don't know what comes next but I can see this being a pro or a con depending on your viewpoint. Great work!!!
Thanks! That is solid feedback. After watching some people play today I totally agree that it is challenging in a few spots because of the camera. I think it was harder to notice when I was playing because I already knew where the platforms were.

I love the music so much it is so perfect LOL! The gameplay was pretty challenging and it was definitely satisfying to complete a level.
Thank you! I was getting down to the wire last night and hadn't even started the sound yet. At midnight my wife said "give me a double shot of whiskey and two hours, I'll make the music". The first thing on the list that I gave her was "calm music for the main menu" and she took that literally haha
10/10 would die again. Jokes aside, really great game and really fancy pixel art. But it was a bit too difficult for me.
Haha thanks! That was the biggest concern that I had, that it might be too hard. It is still challenging for me and I already know where all of the fake platforms are.
