How does you game fit the theme?
Not all the beds are real in the maze.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly. Sounds are owned assets. Navmesh2d is from github.

Funny game to play. It isn't really clear what you are supposed to do though. Some monsters just didn't want to die when throwing rocks at them for example.

I really liked that you have a character customizer, it is the first game I played in this jam that has it :]

Really good job!

It's fun to dodge the monsters :D

I really enjoyed this game quite a lot! Maybe it would be cool to add some sort of power ups in the future ;) Like maybe movement speed or something like that! Keep up the good work and hopefully we will see more of you in the future!

Gave me nice early 2000s web game vibes nice job!

I usually miss my bed, but I have never wanted to go to bed so early.
It was very scary to see a large number of black ones chasing us. It was interesting.

Had a fun time! Nightmare mode scared me and had me running. Also the monsters reminded us of no face

Great game, once I entered the nightmare realm thing I started to really like the game, the only request is a sprint ability to make the character go faster when pressing a key.

Rated!, the player is kinda slow XD, but the sleep effect is so trippy, I really loved it!, nice JOB!

can you help rate mine too?, it would be really a huge help, Thanks!

The character customization is a really nice touch. The gameplay could use some indicator in the UI to track your progress, or tell the player what they should work towards. I did end up randomly finding the correct bed and the game suddenly ending, but the entire time I thought that the goal was just to collect as many beds as possible.

I didn't quite understand the control, apart from WASD, so I ended up escaping 100 ghosts 😂 I never found the real bed after being lost in the maze for 20 minutes ⏰ I may have missed something 🧐 Playing with the waves of ghosts!

throwing rocks was a bit clunky and i didn't figure out how to change direction. So i died fast. What was satisfying, though, was to see a bed and every time reeeeeaaally hoping for it to be the real one. :-) Oh and: The color customization was something i didn't expect in a jam game at all! So very cool you did that!

enjoyed the game. Really liked the monsters that chased you. i didn't understand the what the rocks were for. maybe you could add some text showing what the controls are?

I loved the customization and the world you built here. I could see you adding more to this in the future. Great job!

Thanks, I'm actually hoping to put something into 3d rather than a 2d maze soon!

Interesting that a small game like this have a character customization screen. xD I saw the cats and threw rocks at em, neat little game.

I felt that the game missed an explicit objective, but it's still a fun game (mostly bc I played until the end). I don't know if the maze ends after some time or after n beds collected but I think that should be a goal visible to the player. I enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks for playing to the end! The only objective is to find the real bed, the end of the maze. Which can actually spawn next to you since each maze is randomly generated with spawn and player randomly placed.

To be honest,  I was surprised to see custom colors. If you are not bothered by it can you tell me the trick?

The game was interesting btw! I kinda liked the character control.

Developer

The colors are just on sliders. The character is separated into individual images/sprites each with a different material.

Ah, so in game you change the color of the spire? and spires are white? maybe that way its like easy to change what color u wish for. Thanks for sharing.

Great game but a bit to many monsters.
