How does you game fit the theme?
Two birds that would much rather be alone, end up stuck together in a plastic soda ring. Because they're stuck together, they can use each other to reach different places, and solve simple puzzles. The goal of the game is to become alone, to separate the birds.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Other than the credited sounds from freesound.org and the blue sky skybox, all of the assets where made by myself and my friend Joe.

Those are some real angry birds.
Congrats on finishing and submitting your game for the jam. An impressive product for just a week! Well done.
It's hard not to nitpick polish issues when the overall product looks at feels as nice as it does. It would have been nice if progressing dialogue while it was advancing would just complete the text instead of skipping to the next line. I missed some stuff, but I don't think it was too critical. The throw mechanics, while novel, felt a little unrefined. Still functional, but specifically the characters snapping together after being thrown felt awkward.
Overall, it's probably a little bit too much content for a jam game? It's a fun experience, but it takes a tad longer than I would expect and it feels like there's a lot more dialogue than gameplay.
Still a great experience. And I busted out laughing when Joe appeared. Well done team!
Keep making games!
(bonus points for the paper mario adjacent artwork. it's beautiful)
Loved the characters, and Joe is really cool! The Soundtrack, the level design, the characters and the theme add up to a really good game! I actually would love to see the game but with more levels and a bit more of the story. Overall great Game!!!!
Very fun game, could you please rate my game https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680919 ?
Finally! I found you! It took 3 days of testing, but I've finally found you, gosh, it was about time!
You know, in every jam, there is that game you're secretly jealous of. You don't say it out loud, but, in your heart, you hate the creators because they had such a good idea and such a perfect realization that your own ego crumbles. Of course, you also love them, but hate loving them xD. Well, for me, here we are, I've found you!
I don't even know where to start. You had beautiful graphics, awesome and funny-as-hell cutscenes, the story is on point, the tutorial is perfect, the content is impressive for a 7-days gamejam (you either have a time machine, a very fucked up sleep schedule or just a LOT of talent. Dunno. Please, tell me it's the time machine xD), gameplay changes, very nice sound design, and the level of polish is just out of this world. I'm speechless (yeah, I know, I talk a lot when I'm speechless).
What can I say? You're the best game I've tested in the jam, period. This game have everything, and I'll be mad if I cannot throw some money at you with a steam release or whatever.
You guys are insanely talented and creative, kudos to you.
That’s such a cool game! I fell in love with the cartoony style
Dialogs are on point!
This game is genius, great humor, great mechanics (although a little rough around the edges), and a great story, my personal favourite part was the water area which in itself could've been a submission, all in all great job and good luck in the jam! :)
I love the opening cinematics, the personality, and the over all visual design of this game so much. It's a ton of fun. The gameplay is a little clunky but I managed! Great job!
I really love the art style, controlling the 2 birds was fun, the cutscenes were amazing and the thing where they say they are heroes and then they go and then 2 seconds later link comes in was hilarious, but the end place where the was the lava parkour and the stones was really annoying because you went through the stones little bit and it made it harder, the fact that pressing e while dialogue was playing skipped it entirely was stupid and I think it should just go to the end of the line.
Really nice take on the two-things-tied-together idea. The 2D characters in a 3D world style also works really well.
I agree with others that we should be able to skip the dialogue entry animation without skipping the whole dialogue.
Great game over all, well done!
The game really shines in it's cute humor and visuals, but underneath that are some really interesting gameplay concepts. This is probably a me-problem, but there was no way to skip the dialogue text animation, without skipping the whole dialogue, and I ended up skipping a lot of dialogue and tutorial prompts as a result. That being said, I really enjoyed the game a lot, and think it's a really good interpretation of the theme of the jam - great work!
I love the humour and EPIC cinematics, really funny ! The idea is great and well done !
I love it!! The sense of humor was hilarious, the cinematics were very entertaining. I loved all the characters, the front flips, the camera shakes. The controls were a bit wonky at times but it didn't stop me from reaching the sword and making some new friends :D You and your friend Joe are gonna make some awesome games.
Love this so much!
Looks fantastic, played well, cute story, funny dialogue, what else could you want? Amazing entry!
I have no idea how you pulled this off in only 7 days but hat off to what you have accomplished. Extremely cute design and story.
Super fun! Made me laugh too! Great game.
Had a good laugh while playing ! I tried petting the wolf but I think he did not like it :C
great game, loved the sense of humour, a lot of fun
I think I found my winner so far :D Brilliant graphics design and dialogs. Couldn't stop smiling while I played. Pro tips were on point as well :P
Cool game, fresh mechanics and awesome art style!
