pretty good concept, the crabs were pretty cute, however i noticed you were a bit inconsistent with the antialiasing of the sprites, i suggest you be as consistent in that so that the game looks cohesive!

Sanity/Health meter was neat. Kinda hard to tell what's going on with the screen darkening inside the forest though.

Cute game! I didn't mannage to chop wood, though. I held the key E near trees and in other places, but didn't see anything happen? Scary with the monsters at night :P

Developer(+1)

Sorry, delay key E

Nice game. The graphics are the usual for a starting programmer but the sound effects were a nice touch. I think you should deactivate the messages when you have read them once (the plane one and the monsters one). Keep on developing!

The game is a little hard on the eyes with the bold color choices, but it's fun! I couldn't tell if there wasn't an attack animation or if I encountered a bug. Great effort! Definitely keep making games. :)

Good game with an interesting concept that fits with the theme. It started to get fun once the monsters started appearing which also provided some challenge. I do think this could use some general polish in areas such as the sprite sort ordering and some UI elements etc. Other than that though, good job on the game.

Very nice I liked your audio! I was confused at first as to why I couldn't chop the palm trees.  I wish I could catch those bloody crabs!

That was actually pretty funny. Of course, the graphics would have to be worked on, but the instructions were clear enough and I knew what to do.

I like that it's a top-down survival. The graphics and the art could use some love, stuff like making the trees and monsters pop out. Portable instructions would be nice too!

The game is a little buggy and it could have more instructions at the beginning, but once I understood what I had to do, I had fun because the game design is solid (you have to risk yourself in dangerous areas in order to get more wood). The fact that there was even an ending cutscene is impressive as well!

As for the UI elements, I suggest using TextMeshPro to make the text look less blurry and being careful with typos (I, for example, use google to make sure I wrote things correctly).

Also, I liked how you added configurations for the audio in the settings, as this feature is often forgotten in game jams!

Nice work!

Great game, really like how it uses the established genre and adds a new element so that it fits the theme and shakes up the formula.

The tewwible monsters and the scawy scawy lighting spooked me off from completing the game.
