How does you game fit the theme?
You think you've been left alone at home, but that turns out to be a lie.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Any 3rd party assets are credited properly and are under CC Attribution 4.0 or CC0 licenses. I coded it all myself.

You have done a really good job in the creepiness department! Wow! Loved the game.

Thanks for the feedback!

Please do give me feedback for my game too!

This game is super creepy! I got stuck the first couple of times I played it due to not knowing to water multiple plants or where the washing machine was, but once I worked those things out I played through it fully twice (escape ending both times, not sure if there are other endings). If the objectives were made a little clearer I think you could extend this with more tasks and a longer build-up of creepy noises etc. leading up to the big finale. The graphics and sound effects are solid. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I'd say improving the task and objective system is top priority for me based on overall player response.

I got the ESCAPE ending.

Really unerving for a game made in less than 7 days or so, but it's really boring to walk around these dark halways just to get something done.

Also, there is no pointer, and it doesn't give feedback whenever you aim at something you can interact with.

I just love how doors function and how there is a computer screen that shows the Unity point of view of your room you are in.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. Clearer objectives and UI are something I would've loved to do if I had more time, and is something I'll be focusing on in the next patch.

oooo nice little horror game! I was so sure that I'd see the guy looking in through the many windows and even though that didn't happen I was still very anxious about it. ALSO THOSE DOORS! Somehow the most scary part, I'd be running around and see a door moving, then be unsure whether that was me or if they were already in the house... And whilst there wasn't much audio, I certainly snapped to attention when there was.

P.S. I ran into a bug on my first playthrough where I was doing the list in reverse order (for some reason) and I couldn't complete the water plants task, I got the dialogue for having watered them all and to put away the cup, but that cup was glued to my fingers, could not put it back. Doing the list in the right order on second playthrough worked though!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll look into that water jug glitch among other issues.

This was really neat. The graphics and audio really sell the horror atmosphere. Great job!

Developer

Thanks, I'll be sure to give your game a try when I'm next free.

Great game,on theme.

I don't know why I have problems with the sensitivity of the camera, I don't know if it's from me or the game... I got used to it but it seems too sensitive...

 Overall, good game, good job!

Developer (1 edit)

Glad you liked the game, mouse sensitivity can be changed from the pause menu, though it may still be too high or low for some. A greater range of control customization will be something I focus on in a future patch.

Great horror game. The only thing I do want to point out was some canvas scaling issues with the screen fade. I know because I had the same problem with my jam submission. I also submitted a horror game as well.

Excellent horror game - love the task list you have to finish and the story slowly progressing through that. Had a creepy feeling all through the game :) nice work!

You got a certified spooky game on your hands! I was definitely feeling tense while playing and when the person got in I definitely jumped. Really impressive map, it both felt like an actual house and the top-down lighting and swinging doors made it feel really off (in a good way). The lack of audio made the audio you did use more effective and I liked having chores to figure out the map and how to play the game. Great job!

Who puts their washing machine into the kitchen? weird

Building a decent 3D house is really challenging and even when you use assets and you did a good job there. Sound effects were on point.

The controls could have been better if you had allowed to put things back and maybe displayed a text when you could interact with an item.

Great little game! liked the parents graphics :)

Like the idea! nice vibe, and the dude trying to get in was very unsettling. Unfortunately, had a hard time figuring out how to put the water pitcher back down lol. Great effort for your first submission!
