How does you game fit the theme?
The player, initially alone, will discover that he is not, as he is haunted by a ghost.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes, apart from the music of the opening part of the quiztime created by Toby Fox

I stuck in the second night but I am sure now I am not alone there
Thank you for the review!
I enjoyed exploring around the house and the scares with the ghost were a lot of fun.
Some bugs here and there but all fairly reasonable for a game jam. One bit on the movement I'd like to point out is that it'd feel a little smoother for me personally if after I clicked left or right for example he'd stay facing that direction when standing still. It'd make interacting a lot nicer.
All in all, well done!
Thank you!
Rather cool idea, and enjoyed the ascetic. Was a bit glitchy in places (dialogue could sometimes stack on top of each other) but you have the beginnings of a solid game here
Thank you so much for the review!
Cool idea, it would be nice to have some kind of indicator where to go because I was confused at first. And maybe just slowing the player down a bit. Other than that good job, especially with the art and design!
Thanks!
I really like the game, the art is nice, the atmosphere is well made
I just have a few "issues"
The movement is super fast, I go out of one room and I shoot into another room and it causes the game to feel unresponsive. it's cool to run fast when you're on a timer, but sometimes I'd wanna move a bit slower. The text is nice the speeding up is cool but why do I have to end it myself? especially if I can't move till I do, it feels weird the dialogue should end when it's done and not wait for the player to press end with the mouse on a game that uses only keyboard input. Also, have it that dialogue pauses the clock, don't punish slow readers that take time to read or fast readers that have to wait for the text to complete.
Also on a small side note, I find it weird that there is a box that plays a trivia game, breaks the immersion, and takes away from the actual idea of the game.
The game is really nice, but I think it needs some tweaking here and there and a bit more consistency in what message it's trying to show.
All things considered, it's a nice submission, good job!
Thank you so much for the review!
Cool game!
Thanks!
I failed one question haha
good concept :D
Thank you!
Great Game and nice easter egg! :)
Thank you so much!
Cool 2D horror concept.
Pros: nice art and sound, interesting concept, really nice to have the tutorial in game
Cons: movement and doors are a bit janky, ambiguous time limits can be a tad frustrating, I couldn't get the morse code puzzle to work, it was also a bit frustrating to have to interact with some of the objects multiple times across the nights, it would be cool if the dialogue gave some clue that the object would come up again later.
My biggest gripe, and please take this as constructive criticism, your message was really unclear. On the one hand this was a psychological horror with a ton of references to Christianity where you play as a starving chil who's a victim of abuse, and on the other there's a ton of tongue and cheek lol 69 420 jokes and a random meta trivia game that feel really out of place with how serious the subject matter is. It feels like you wanted to make a super dark game about serious topics but also fill it with memes and it comes off a bit as you making light of serious topics. I don't feel like you can have your cake and eat it too in a game like this.
Overall it was a fun experience with cool puzzles and great atmosphere, you just lost me on what you were trying to communicate with the story a bit.
Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate the fact that you have played our game a lot. We really appreciate the criticisms that we will use to improve ourselves the next few times, the irony in fact should have been studied better haha. Thanks again for the thorough review and all your valuable advice!

Woah! The main mechanic is a really nice and innovative twist on the whole theme of 'you're not alone'. It is a tad bit too challenging. I get that game jams introduce time constraints, but maybe you could implement a smoother progression of difficulty? i'm gonna have to give you 5/5 on graphics and 5/5 on innovation. I loved the pixel art. I also did pixel art.
If you don't mind, could you check out and review my game?

Thank you so much for the review and for trying the game, I will certainly take a look at your game too!
Tried two times but still cannot figure out how to finish the second night...😢
Thanks for the review!
I advise you to take a good look at the parents' room and inspect the objects you will find, also take a look at the kitchen!

Good game, could you please rate my game https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680919 ?
Of course, I will rate it for sure! Thank you very much for the review
scary and fun game, I liked the Easter egg a lot :)
Thank you so much for the review and for being able to find the easter egg!
It's scary like Ao Oni. I think the unique pixel horror expression creates a nice effect.
Thank you so much for the review, at first we were uncertain about how to create a 2d horror at least playable haha, thanks again for the review and for trying the game!
I swear that ghost scared me every time I retried the second night. I couldn't stop playing it but I got stuck in the basement on the third day. Do you have a hint? Btw I love the sense of humor
Thank you so much for the review and for trying the game! On the third night if you interact with the basement door it will ask you for a code that you will always find in the basement. Thanks again for the review and for enjoying the game!
I liked the graphics, I had fun trying it out. good job!
Thank you so much for the review!
Some sprites are blurred and the movement is not very good. But I enjoyed the game. Also, it would be nice to have some kind of a journal with the current task
Thank you so much for the review! We will try to improve ourselves for the next projects
Im stuck at the (morse code?) puzzle. I may be wrong but according to the morse code translator i used the code should be "104xd" but it's not?
Other than that the game was enjoyable. The art was good and the music that you made was cool too!
Thank you so much for the review! You got very close to the real code ahah
