How does you game fit the theme?
In this game you have a helping hand, which means "You are not alone".

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all the code was written by me. The monsters were made using Kenney's creature mixer. The jumping sound was also from Kenney's Assets. All of the other assets, such as the music, characters and tiles, were made by me from scratch.

This is a fun puzzle game to play! Haven’t reached the end yet, it’s… a tad more difficult than I could handle in one go!

Have a look at my playthrough! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580905217

Thank you so much for playing it, I have already started working on the coyote time and the other smaller bugs, so I will update it after the Game Jam. If you want to, you can follow me to see the updates.

Honestly, I though this was really clever game design! At first I though it was too simple, and didn't allow for player choice, but then it moved on and you were required to be precise. You were also required to gauge the distance for the platforms. Yes the physics were a bit wonky at time, and the enemy hitboxes were a little unforgiving, but I kinda like how it required you to be precise with your platforming, and it wasn't too difficult to overcome. I'd suggest a death animation or something to give the player visual feedback for dying because it's very sudden and unexpected.

Awesome job! Very impressed with this one!

ill state that placing tiles feels less like a task the magic player is doing and more of a no character.

i do like that some parts require the player to enable the other player to get some blocks and then.

the parts all sum to

  1. get the magic player to be able to get tiles
  2. use tiles

the enemy variety is hard to say: the enemies don't seem to have varying speeds nor hit boxes

the lasers are very well done.

I like how the magic bullets are affected to blocks so you have to aim right, but it uses this gimmick too much I think.

Kind of reminds me of a reverse Lakitu.

I really liked the idea of this, quite creative and used in clever ways but enemies really felt like they were bogging down and otherwise great experience. having to kill the enemies felt like a really inconvenient way to get block. It was admittedly used well in a couple of circumstances, but overall it felt like a hinderance to the platforming because it was mostly just quite boring. Having a pickup or breakable block or something you could get that rewards you with blocks would've been a more fun mechanic (imo) that allowed it focus on the fun platforming over the mostly basic and easy shooting that ended up feeling time wasting if ever I died.

Other than that, the art and sfx are serviceable, if admittedly not great, but the music ended feeling very repetitive after a bit.

A good start,  but it ended up not being great for me. Not bad by any stretch, but not great.

Really nice platformer with nice music and sfx. Good job! Simple but fun game!

I really enjoyed this one.

The level design was good and challenging, and I got quite addicted to it and tried to go all the way through.

I ended up stuck and unable to move since I placed a cube too close to me, and I had to refresh the page. But besides that I loved it.

Cool game. Great job! The obstacles are varied and it finishes before becoming repetitive.

I wish there was some visual indicator when you rech a checkpoint that it got activated.

Really cool, nice game! Got nothing bad to say about it :)

Fun game, loved it

Yeah another Godot game!!! How did you do the spawn mechanic? I would love to see the code.

Nice concept, the simplistic art fits the gameplay.

Fun concept!

I thought the game was pretty cool, and I found it pretty fun to play. Keep it up! Do you mind rating mine when you get a chance?

Well done, I like the cooperative mechanics of the game

I've had a lot of fun! I like the animation of spawning block. Critics: sometimes the wizard can't shoot to enemies because there's too many block around him. It would be nice if the placed block automatically aligned to other blocks. Sometimes I placed a block then couldn't go between two blocks, 'cause placed it wrong. Although mechanics are excellent and I really enjoyed!

Nice job!

The wizard not being able to shoot because of some blocks was intended. It was another form of a puzzle, carefully placing blocks and finding the right angle to shoot. But thanks for the feedback!

Got it!
