Oh, you pointed something interesting out. I guess the arrows can be a bit ambiguous. But, what they represent are bonuses, both negative and positive. Bonuses are related to the crops only, they affect things like crop maturing times and the amount you get after harvesting.

I loved the visuals of this game! It really gives me that rhythm game feel! I just got a bit confused while playing since the arrows are kind of scrambled? Not sure how to say. But maybe its also because I don't usually play with arrows haha.

Hi! The art for this game is awesome! I really like how the cliche element in the game's name came together with the gameplay!

I liked this game very much! I enjoyed the leveling system.  My only issue is that it seems like there is no cap for banditos. Which made my game lag a lot. Banditos just kept spawning.

Hi! I would like to hear what you think of my game too.

Awesome game! I loved the graphics, though so simple they are very expressive! The gameplay was great too! Pretty fun to play, I liked the strategy involved.

Loved the game. The sprites look great, a good interpretation of the theme and overall a good game. I liked the snake like movement when you have a lot of party members. For a bit of feedback. Since the game gets kinda tricky mid way through maybe add a way to replay the same level without having to start from the beginning.

Wow, the game and page look phenomenal, All the levels are great and very well thought. I had a good time playing! Nice mechanics and good take on the theme!

Hi, your game looks great. In the end, it wasn't really clear to me what the behaviour of the monster is, does it hear me if I step on a bear trap? How can I get past it if it only moves a certain direction? Also, sometimes I got stuck inside a locker. Though, nice game!

Dude, your game was awesome! It needs more recognition! The whole mechanic was very dynamic, and the recipe materials were easy to learn/remember! Pretty good take on the theme!

Cool game. Nice and short. Although, since you are working with top down view, you should adjust the collisions a bit. I liked the earthbound vibes it gave me, with the weird monster and your friends following you.

Pretty cool game! I liked the level design, the models and just eating the demons felt pretty good. Also, was the game intended for mobile since the beginning? The camera felt kinda wobbly and those screams were too loud. It suprised me when I read your game's description because my game also involves a friendly ghost trying to help a lost person!

Hi. Good work on your first jam. Though im not sure how it fits in the theme. On another note, I would add spawnpoints if I were to make the levels long.

Bro, that song brought back some memories. Anyhow, the game was pretty good, though it takes you some time to get used to, that is, if you are playing singleplayer. Or am I doing this wrong? Great work.

Nice game! The artwork and pixel art are great. Once I got used to the gameplay it was pretty fun to play! Though maybe if you could add a few settings for your game (like spawn one heart after reuniting two enemies) so it could be a bit more forgiving.

This is a really interesting game! I like the whole narrative and the sprites look great. Though the game could use some jumping improvents, and also you could do something with combat so its a bit more dynamic, maybe each hit pushes enemies back or something. Also that final battle was tricky to beat! Nice work!

The audio was pretty good, the tension of something possibly lurking in the dark was awesome. Something I would recommend is maybe making the corridors wider and the flashlight be able to illuminate the area more.

Pretty cool game, being wary of both your friend and where to position the knight is a cool concept. Also the pixel art is great!

Yea, Im thinking it has something to do with what size I built the unity project, its the first time I publish something on itch, I gotta run lots of tests to get this right. And yea, the slashing was one of the "gotta get right" points of the game while developing.

Certainly it would be a lot of fun if the game was to be expanded more, The full idea for this also contained abilities for the ghost, I was thinking of a "phantasmal circle" somewhat like an area of effect ability you could cast on the floor, but doing so would make your ghost dissapear for the duration of the ability, leaving you vulnerable.

Yes! thats what was initially intended! The faster you swing the more damage is dealt, and it would be shown in a text popup as an indicator.

Woah, this is a really polished game for a jam! the idea of fighting negative ideas with cards is really funky, its like "Oh? a negative feeling? Let me see what I have in my card deck"

Hi, you got an interesting concept here. Having to rotate the player around to shoot takes some time to get used to, also the screen size could be adjusted to give more focus to the small sprites. Anyhow, nice game!

The levels are tricky! But thats the fun of it, thats what makes it catchy! Good game though, the sprites look awesome and the music is good. I just had trouble with the controls though, I was like "How do I get on top of the allay again?"

The concept is awesome and it has a turn around. Beware more of your allies than your own enemies! Certainly an innovative entry.

Hi, the camera movement is kinda weird since the mouse isn't locked. Its hard to know when you are able to spawn a carpet on your feet so it ends up with you falling off chance. The choice of sound effects is interesting, and the graphics look great! Good take on the theme.

Hello. Its not quite clear what we have to do (after collecting the samples what is it that we do next?). Though, the visuals looks awesome! I liked the bubbles and lightning, fish are kinda just doing their own thing. Also, is there something lurking down there?

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680329 Heres mine! Its a top-down enemy slash game

Your game is pretty impressive for a jam! Theres always a ton of things game submissions can improve.

I find pressing arrow keys everytime I want to do a special attack (and most of the time those attacks don't even deal damage at all) pretty unneccesary. Soul gathering is also very unresponsive, sometimes it takes some time till it registers I picked the soul from the floor. Also I can't tell which spell im buying when inside the shop. Otherwise the spell drag and drop mechanic and sprites are really interesting.

The movement feels wonky because of acceleration, the camera movement is too sensitive and I really dont get what each spirit does, maybe go into more detail about that? Also whats the point of everything? how do I gather corrupted spirits? and whats that npc at the start of the map?

Hi, I feel like your game description needs to explain the controls, since I just guessed I had to use E to interact with stuff. On another note, I liked the underwater camera effect.

The spiders really got me every time. Gameplay wise, maybe if we could just switch items with the middle scroll wheel, and the switch cooldown was lowered, it could be more dynamic, also maybe a powerup that activates with the flashlight after killing a certain number of enemies? like it illuminates the whole screen for a short period. Anyways, good entry!

Pretty interesting concept, though the outcome was kinda confusing, to avoid spoilers I wont go into much detail, The graphics look cool and its always nice to see mystery in jams

The combat is kinda wonky, even with the forward boost you always bump into the enemy, The farming is based off chance, sometimes I ran out of fuel in the middle of nowhere. Aside from that I enjoyed the graphics a lot, the planets look awesome, and the whole idea is really ambitious so thats great!

Bro I loved the audio and the tension! Every time the game lagged out I thought the monster spawned or something, Pretty cool, though sometimes I felt like I got lost in the maze.

Hello, I liked the lightning and the explosion effects, though I have to say the main idea feels too simple and it harshly illustrates the theme, Its just the classic wave shooting game with no new mechanics added.

Hi!, Im afraid I couldn't add sound/music to the game since I started the jam half way through! I hope you enjoy the game! Im open to suggestions.
By the way, the game is NOT a horror game dont worry. The ghost was meant to look friendly, it kinda does, does it not?
