How does you game fit the theme?
The hero is alone fighting a giant monster (kaiju), and is unable to defeat it. As the hero is about to die, a friend shows up and combines with him to give him more power. This back and forth repeats until three friends arrive and the kaiju is defeated.

The game is not winnable without the use of everyone's power combined.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code and pixel art was created by my partner and I. Nothing created prior to the jam was used.

We used 1 font, 1 song, and 10 sound effects from the sources credited on our game page.

Nice little game, I enjoyed the fight =)! The choices where pretty cool, but it felt like there was only one "good answer" each time, which was a bit frustrating ^^'. It also lacked a bit of feedback to know when we can use our abilities.

Overall, it's a solid game which lacks a bit of polish, but for a jam game, it is expected, so good job =)!

Dialog, idea and choice of abilities are pretty good, especially choice of abilities because it makes the game a bit tactic. I didn't like the fact that you can't move so really the only thing I was doing whole time was spamming my attacks. Also it's odd when you can't see cooldown time for your abilities.

Fun dialog! I agree with others that cooldown timers would be nice. I also feel like even with the extra powerups the only way I could win by absolutely giving all I had into spamming. Perhaps some sense of agency could be more satisfying for the player.

Tbh i just spammed all the buttons till i killed the monster. Great game, the choices are fun and really different from one to the other, good art, well done!

Pretty fun, the dialogue was funny and after killing the monster I got kinda sad, because I played Undertale we months ago....., but the game was pretty much just spamming the buttons and hoping that I win and the the art style was inconsistent and it had differently sized pixels.

Nice game! Works well with the theme and was pretty fun. Music also worked well with it and the choices between three different powerups for allies is nice instead of being forced into one.

Something that could improve the game if you continue it post jam could be showing some sort of indicator for how long until each cooldown is over. You tend to either have to spam or guess currently

Cooldown timers for the abilities were what I wanted most! Should have prioritized them higher before running out of time haha
