I couldn't enjoy the game with these controls, but very nicely done.

Tight control. Cool character animations. Well done!
I FEEL LIKE THE GAME COULD'VE BEEN CRAZY GOOD BUT THE PLATFORMING AND THE SKELETONS JUST DIDN'T WORK IN CONCOCTION. WHEN HITTING THE MOB BECOMES MORE VALUABLE THAN THE SUMMON I FEEL ALONE. ABSOLUTE JAMMER OF A MUSIC THO SHEESH,
nice player movement. cool blood splatter
Good controls, fluid gameplay, nice art and animation.
Playing without a healthbar sucks a little bit.
Pros:
Satisfying movement, good music, nice sprites
Cons:
lack of health / info about remaining summons, one enemy type
This could be made into a really satisfying little platformer/fighter
I honestly really wanted to enjoy this game more than I did! The best music I've ever heard in a game jam, satisfying movement techniques, amazing sprites and a 3 hit attack combo to die for, I found myself instantly invested the moment I fired it up.
I think this game needs some reworking in certain aspects though, indications for the player like a health bar or how much damage they're doing, the ability to drop through platforms, stuff like that.
This game absolutely has some good legs, I'd be very excited to see this improved upon in the future!
The best game found in this jam
The music and character animations are really nice! Moving around with the jumps and dashes is pretty fun, but not exactly needed for the combat, and I got stuck very early because I couldn't find a way to drop through platforms. My main suggestion combat-wise would be some hit recoil and sound effects to make attacks more satisfying (and help them register).
I see, I didn't really consider the use for the jumps and dashes except as a means of travel, thank you for pointing that out. Maybe some enemies and obstacles that can only be dealt with using those movements would harmonize the movement and combat. As for the platforms and the lack of damage feedback, yeah my bad, it totally slipped my mind. This is great feedback, thank you!
Honestly, I really like the player animations and the art. I also really like the skeleton summoning mechanic that's a pretty fun mechanic. The game could use some fleshing out. I didn't notice any other audio other than the music. Nothing is communicated to the player. Controls are only mentioned once you're paused. Movement is smooth but I don't feel that the platforming complements the movement i.e. no need for dashing too much.
A+ on necromancy mechanics
i cant play the game :(
