Wow! This is really impressive and polished for a game made in a week! I think it's really cool how you interpreted the theme and made a story around it. I wasn't quite sure why I was suddenly able to move backwards before the tunnel, so a little more dialogue there may have helped. But overall this is a really well-made game! Great job!
Thank you for playing! I'm happy you liked it!
Nice work with the atmosphere, music and visuals, also the mechanics. Good idea to keep developing.
Thank you so much for playing!
Enjoyed this a lot. Really good music and art!
Thank you a lot for playing!
This is a wonderful. The story is good. The music goes well with the atmosphere. The artwork and visuals are really nice. The game runs smoothly as well. Overall a well made game.
Thank you so much for playing! I'm really happy you liked it!
Pretty cool game, i like the atmosphere. I got stuck in front of a door, I figured I had to do something with the puzzle pieces but could find out what. Nice work, keep going :)
Hi, thanks for playing! When reaching the door, you have to click the pieces in the correct order to open it (make sure you're close enough to the door). I would appreciate if you tried again, since the story unveils just after going through it. It's the most important part. Anyways, thank you for the feedback!
And I did ! I think I found in my first run then, I cliqued on the puzzle pieces in the wrong anwser and after that the right order didn't worked either. I would have missed that plot twist what a shame !
Wow! Great game. I liked everything, it plays nice, sounds nice and looks awesome, especially the visual effects. And the character - how he looks is a cool narrative clue.
I got stuck at the puzzle pieces - didn't notice them activating when it was time to use them. Reading your devlog post helped tho. :)
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you could continue playing it untill the end. Btw, I played and rated your game some days ago. The visuals and story were awesome!
Yes, I saw it. Thanks :)
I love the art style, music and audio effects. The atmosphere is great. I love the mechanic of not moving backwards of the beginning. It really makes you need to chose the right path :)
Good job !!!
Thank you for playing! I'm happy you liked it!
Very good game.
The atmosphere is very cool and the art style is great
Thank you for playing!

I like the aesthetic and how the game interacts with the player, also the audio is great :D
Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing! I'm so happy you liked it!
Nice game that i watched hoshi play on stream! Initially skeptical but very clean finish! Great story!
Do check my game : https://itsnotsimon.itch.io/beyond-eden
Hi! Thanks for playing! I played and rated Beyond Eden yesterday, it was great!
thanks!
I did find that jumping while static gave no up animation which felt stiff, and jumping while moving didn't always trigger the falling animation, sometimes it was juts stuck as running. I really liked the sound design and I thought the slide animation was great.
I'm not sure if going back into the tunnel was the end of the game, but I couldn't leave through the doors and couldn't figure out anything else to do so I left the game.
Thank you for playing! In that part, you have to collect three puzzle pieces. When you have all of them, go in front of the door and press them in the correct order (be sure to be close enough to the door). The story unveils after you go through that door so I would appreciate if you tried again to see the most important part of the game. Thanks!
Nice art and great atmosphere and story!
Thank you for playing!
Very creative and I love the athmosphere you created in this game.
Good Job! :)
Thank you for playing!
The art is nice, but the music is great ;-). The game is a bit short, but probably the right length. The reveal at the end, explaining why the character can't go backwards, was great. Perhaps you can explore that a bit further in the game.
[spoilers] The part were you need to start moving backwards wasn't very clear to me. I kept on walking to the right and then got reset without any feedback as to what I was doing wrong. Also, were the puzzle pieces physical pieces? (that would make sense from the reason as to why you can't go backwards) Maybe you could have made that more clear.
Thank you for playing and for the critique! Making a longer game keeping the same narrative was very difficult, so I decided to go with a compact story. About the part where you need to start going backwards, I decided not to give any explicit clue to fit the theme, I thought that showing the doors, having a dead end and the audiovisual sign when you press the LeftArrow/A was enough for the player to know what to do. About the puzzle pieces, I don't understand the question, sorry...
With that question I was reffering to the fact that the character suffers from memory loss (amnesia). So, were the puzzle pieces a way for the character to remember his thoughts? Does he carry around wooden planks with words on them to remember questions or am I reading into things to much and was it just a coincidence?
The character represent the player. Who suffer from amnesia is the friend (or the game). The pieces are a way for the player to communicate with the game.
i very much enjoyed how the story was built into the game and the creative level design. i would've definitely been interested in a longer game and knowing more about the characters and their story.
good job! :)
Thank you so much for playing! Maybe creating a longer version/second part would be interesting. Thanks!
Wow. I am completely blown away by this. The graphics, the way the game interacts with you, the puzzle elements -- this game is amazing. If I had one tiny suggestion to make it better -- the default unity physics are a bit floaty so I would tweak them to make them crisper.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy you liked it. And thanks for the suggestion! By the way, I played and rated your game yesterday, definitely innovative visuals.
