a bit weird but still nice, and also idk if its my headphones breaking, but sometimes i the sounds got really distant and were very quiet, idk.

I think the game has some kind of fatal error in it that triggers at some point. Every time I got to the last level before the congratulations level I experienced weird behaviours, like enemies not colliding with me, me not being able to pick up the hearts. One time the game proper crashed as well. Not sure what's causing it, but it may be connected to the Xray vision feature. This feature, always had problems for me, and in the last levels I couldn't use it at all.
The character controller has a very narrow window for modular jump, and the window has a huge effect. The jump can be doubled in height with very little input time. There is no grace jump.
The art is consistent and palette use is generally clever. It's easy to tell FG from BG, with the exception of the grey colour. There is a slightly darker grey used indicating that's BG. I think it needs more contrast. Also, there is no proper background. It's all black, which suits the game alright enough, I suppose, but I would like to see more detail there.
The music arrangement uses very high frequency tones, which are irritating to the ear. I'm grateful you added the mute function. I did listen to it all, and it's also very short, so it's irritating and repetitive. SFX are serviceable.
I don't see how the game conforms to the theme. I think the rationale is that the Xray vision aspect is "the lie", but in that case, Hitman, Lara Croft, and Batman are all liars too.
This game had potential to be a fun little platformer, but it's negatively affected by A class bugs.
Thank you for your thorough review, im so sorry that i hadn't responded to this sooner. The graphics in my game was a novelty which made it seem better than it was, tbh i really slacked off when it came to audio and gameplay. I like to think ive become more balanced now.
Flatout drillin acc bangs, very addictive kind of like the game downwell with the linear level design and shoot to move mechanic. I genuinely believe you could turn this into a fully fledged IOS game. My only gripe would be the colour choices and graphical design, I personally like to work with 8BIT pixel art or silhouettes as I feel they're easier to work with, to animate and to create pleasant visuals with; a game's aesthetics takes it further than the mechanics. An 8Bit retro style would really compliment the audio as the graphics and bit crushed sound effects would work in tandem. I dont see how this matches the theme, but seeing as mine was a stretch, I'll give it a pass. Honestly I loved flatout drilling, primarily because it isn't afraid to be a bit violent in a humorous way.
Im not even sure this message will reach, you, but after viewing your website and your youtube channel, I hope you know that I think the content you put out is of high quality and I hope I can maintain a dedication to this craft as much as you have.
Rated - Really cool style and i love the sprite art and environment detail and particles! I agree with the controls~ Maybe you use a European keyboard? It's almost impossible to move left/right with A/D and use the Z and C keys at the same time. I found myself awkwardly using two hands on top of each other to play. However, everything else was great! Please check out my platformer game if you have time, you can watch the gameplay video to vote with.
Artwork is cool... Also the controls could be a little better ... example SPACE could be jump... Coz no one reads controls in first time and we cant guess Z to be for jump XD.. .Nice game ...Rated!!!

The art really makes this game stand out, really great job with that. Controls also felt good, jumps were relatively easy to perform and I didn't get stuck anywhere. The only thing is I didn't feel to encouraged to use that sight mechanic to see the hidden side of the level. I beat the game only using once to get a hidden heart. Still, awesome job!
As others have said, great job on the art. The gameplay is a bit too loose and unwieldy unfortunately.

The art and especially the animation are really amazing. The character movement was so fluid and the cape animation was great. As you already know, the controls were an impediment to playing the game, but hats off to you for the great visual design. I would totally play the heck out of this game if you updated it.

I only had a problem with controls (jump button close to action button) and didn't find a way to charge my skill.
Realy good pixel art ! I loved the little leafs changing form while falling. I did not understand the choice for the key binding. I think "space" or "w" for jumping, "shift" for dashing and space for using the skill would have been a better take. I quickly ran out of charges for my skill while playing with it and didn't found the way to recharge it. Anyway the level desing was pretty good, and again the visuals, waw. Good job !
Loved the visuals, very nice, I had a problem with jumping if I was up against a wall, it would just stick
