Very polished game with some bugs but that is fine.
I'm not really sure why it's lagging though.
I like the idea that the character is walking automatically and the player can only react to the situation. Sadly, the implementation of the idea is rather awkward. I like the art and minimalist but still good-looking animations. Also, the music builds a nice tension, but the switch between walk and ran should be gradual - especially if you leave the running to be controllable by the player. Nice effort!
seems like a good game but the game is really zoomed in for me and sometimes when sliding you get stuck in the floor
Beautiful game and utmost fear and theme nice controls are a bit hard and take some getting used to. Nicely done.
This was really good! Bit clunky at times but it to be expected from a jam game. Overall really great game!
The idea was great. I just found too many bugs in it, including the camera hiding one of the tutorial's steps and respawing inside the floor. But overall the game was fun. Well done.
Noted. I think this was a case of, because I had designed it and knew what to do, I was actually worried that it was too easy. I probably should’ve gotten somebody to do some playtesting.
Art is really good but the playability is a bit problematic I think. I got stuck in the tutorial because of the fact of jumping/sliding can't be done at last moment because of the character going backwards too early. Also, music is great but maybe too high
I think this is a bit too hard at the beginning, especially with the framerate in the browser-version, but the art is sooo good!
I got stuck at the first chase for a while, didn't know why my character was turning around at the last moment.
I think that the edge-turning animation is a bit slow, it feels forever to turn around.
Other than that, I liked the level design, concept, music, everything else.
The movement mechanic is unique for sure but the jumping and sliding doesnt seem to be reliably implemented enough so it got very frustrating just trying to jump that first platform. The creatures and design are fantastic though, really unique and it sets your game apart from the other games. Great job!
Yeah you don’t seem to be alone there. Definitely could’ve used some playtesting and fine tuning lol.
Thanks!
Very interesting concept in that you don't control the movement fully, only what kind of movement is occurring. I did get into what I assume was a bugged state where I could slide, but not jump, trapping me in a valley. Camera could be a bit too zoomed in at times.
Overall, fun and interesting. Nice graphics, music, concept, and decent implementation.
Feels like the camera drags a little too far back, not giving me enough time to react to a wall or slide unless I know it's already there, but even then it's still very difficulty with the lack of time giving to make the input, sometimes I feel I have press way too early get the input. Very zoomed in even when maxed.
Glad it was challenging! The camera should be zooming out when you move faster, but you can’t see very far in the dark, after all.
fun! awesome ambiance. Had some issue with screen being cut off but was able to play maximizing window size.
Awesome! Yeah I designed the game for fullscreen and didn’t really think about the fact it was going to be played in browser. Glad you enjoyed.
