I, conversely, always love a good devil/demon plot and you absolutely nail all the familiar beats and atmosphere of such a scenario while still making it your own and tying it strongly to the coin. Or in this case, coins. It will definitely help out anyone trying to incorporate a bit more character and depth to whatever sort of infernal world they have beyond the simple 'devils want your soul, don't trust them, don't make deals'.

I personally would, however, perhaps like a bit more on the consequences of losing to Mashtru or otherwise engaging with the infernal, or anything else going wrong? I got the impression when reading through the whole thing that there is an assumption that Mashtru will be defeated in the end regardless?

Thanks for the review!

I wanted to limit myself to the 2-page format I created for the previous jam, so due to the size limitation I had to cut some stuff, like the consequences of a defeat to Mashtru.

Losing to him would require the PCs to make some form of deal with Mashtru, and I think this is a great opportunity for future quests involving, for instance, a mission the devil gives them or a way to free themselves from the contract. And maybe they could still count with the help of Gyitael and Hij.

This is phenomenal! I normally don't like demon-related stuff, but you used that aspect in a really unique, layered manner, with the whole hierarchy of demons and people who lose their souls potentially battling their way up it. I also really love the way that the major quest of coin discovery to the final showdown plays out (including potentially crafting another to use the demon's own weapon against him). And it uses the coins perfectly!

The interesting NPCs and potential conflicting motivations means that this spark could be a single-session or campaign-defining adventure, and the elements fit an adventure anywhere in between. The mechanics of the coin and the difficulty of discovering the nature of the plan mean that a climactic showdown is likely, and the stakes are obviously very high.
