Overall, the environment was very immersive, the item recovery system was on point! I can definitely see this as the building blocks for a bigger and broader experience and story! Great stuff! A la resident evil style love it!
Quite immersive! Great visuals.
Thank you! Though I do kind of regret focusing on developing the visuals more than gameplay
Loved the graphics and the RE1 feel to it all. Wished there was more to it but that's a good thing I guess cause it means I want more. Great work.
Thank you, I was inspired by RE and Dino Crisis! I will finish the game once the jam is over and I get free time
To note, you don't mention F to Interact in the description of the game. Was a little lost at the start not knowing how to open the door...
Otherwise, things being unfinished is understandable for a game jam!
For a first build, this seems pretty promising. I like that catwalk level right before the ending, and the view outside the window of the intro is pretty neat.
I would suggest a way to make it easier to change from walking to shooting, as it takes a couple taps to switch around in this build.
Nice work regardless!
Thanks for playing, sorry about not mentioning the interaction button!
There was supposed to be an unholster animation but I forgot to make it, so it looks like the character is standing still
Now that I think about it, I could've made a single animation for both holstering and unholstering and just played it in reverse
This game has a retro feel and I think it has some pretty decent potential if you continue working on it. The only thing I could find fault in it would be no enemy attacking and it ended.
Thanks for playing!
I do plan on finishing the game (or at least fixing the most important things like enemy attacking) once the jam is over and I get free time.
I like camera perspective.
I would suggest make those "zombies" attack more clearly. By that I mean, it looks like they just following you
Thanks for playing!
Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to implement enemy attacks. I didn't want the player to play through the whole game again if they died but I also did not have enough time to implement saving & loading, so I decided to not make enemies attack at all.
In hindsight, I think I should've made the enemies attack the player but not be able to actually kill them.
Really great job. Captures the feel of the PSX era survival horrors perfectly! Well done Kem!
Thanks for playing! I was inspired by Resident Evil and Dino Crisis
