Amazing that you made this from scratch in a week! The monster cards were awesome and I loved the little quips on them "... spider creeps... spider leaps!" Love it :D
Thanks I was knackered after - lol
Nice graphics and very pleasant monster pop ups, but unfortunately very buggy game. Couldn't understand how soulbinding mechanic works other than it made me go through the walls and sometimes even beyond the level boundaries - that's how every attempt ended.
The minimap is indeed a nice touch.
yep. there is a version that fixes all of these things after the jam ;
We had some problems with being able to walk through walls and with enemy graphics disappearing:
The mini-map was a nice touch and we spent most of the time looking at that to move around. Good variety of monsters and scenery elements (walls, trees, etc.) that meant you always had a rough idea of where you where from the 3D view. Did you make all these assets during the week? If so, kudos to you, that's a lot of work, even though they're low poly. Well done for submitting your game, it has some potential.
there is an updated version that solves most of the issues. but it will be released after the jam voting. Some of the assets were pre made. but most were created during the week. Thanks :)

Nice graphics and interesting mechanic. I loved the pics in the battle screen, but the game was quite buggy. I ended up outside of the level. But it has quite some potential.

Is the game framerate bound on windows? Everything was going super fast for me.
I should be stable at 60fps and no more - very interesting
Like the art style also think the mini map worked out really. The pop up descriptions for the mobs are great.
I got a bit lost in the maps and will replay as I didn’t work out the binding concept at all the first time.
i got to level 2, and it crashed.
but i killed a lot of things.
what os - what version and was there sound? :)
windows.
101.
i dont remember if there was sound.
The game is definitely fun but also very rough.
I think I'll stop there, I got a good glimpse of the game anyway. With too many bugs to enumerate it's hard to try to find how you're really supposed to get the "first" (the middle one) book behind the fence in the beginning. Soulbinding with the spider behind the fence then soulbinding back seems like a good idea but when you souldbind back you get teleported out of bonds of the map.
I manage to get the two other books, and maybe you're actually supposed to get this one third, but between the memory violation crashes, the number of times I got stuck, without even mentioning how confusing the UI is at first (basically automatic turning and up arrow to soulbind do not go well together, but up arrow to soulbind is probably not a good idea anyway) I rarely get up to there. For example I've no idea if you are supposed to interact with enemies behind walls or if it's just a bug.
Don't get me wrong, it's a game jam, the game is ambitious, I know how it wants to go, it's fun, even, which is the reason why it's frustating that it's painful to play.
excellent feedback - what is are you on?
Unfortunately v101 doesn't work under wine. It crashes right away.
did V1.0 work under wine?
There was an update to wine but v101 still doesn't work. v1 does work. Interesting concept for your game. I thought there was a control problem as I kept being turned but I realized that the enemy was attacking me.
