I finally completed the game, restarted a little less than 10 times in total I think.

I guess the yellow key is meant to open the already opened door to the end, not that it changes anything, you need to grind all the enemies to deal with the queen anyway. It was super tense, I ended up one hit away from dying with no potion and the queen did not attack the last time. I did not open a chest behind a grid, I assume you can fall down into the room somehow.

The game is fantastic, it looks and sounds great and is super atmospheric, and I like the push-your-luck combat and potion management, they are perfectly adapted to a game of this length without saving option.

Congratulations!

Really cool game, I really liked the UI and the way the game starts with the in world tutorial text. Also the fighting mechanic was fun :) I agree with some of the other comments that I found the unlit corridors to get a bit too dark. Really good job though and good luck in the jam!

Ran into a bug when I first finished the tutorial section where the screen turned black and I never loaded in to next level but restarting fixed that

Game looks great. I know it might damage the ambience but everything could be sped up more, especially combat.

A couple bugs I ran into aside from the boss door: First mannequin after the trapdoor, who you engage from behind, backed off into the abyss and didn't come back until I did my turn. Left arrow turns right.

upon startup, I got a popup telling me there was a known bug in my graphic driver and that I should update it or switch to a different rendering API. It even gave a specific version of the driver that was recommended.
I'm assuming this is driven by the engine you are using, but NVidia doesn't list that driver for my card...

I found your cheat code for instant leveling :)

This is amazing. Feels very polished. I did get lost after the teleporting puzzle and also, the gate to the boss was wide open for me. I just decided it was probably for the best not to get rolled so I left him chillin'.

Yeah, i have to improve some things~

About the boss door, I was testing the last jam day to add the endings and I forgot to close the door. xD

I have to wait until the jam ends to update the build, but im working on all those things, but thanks for the feedback!

Looks good, feels good, very brutal, Mannequeen killed me a few times, hah! Good entry overall

Developer

It need a bit of polishing and balance yet, cause I run out of time, but im glad you enjoyed it!

Amazing graphics! Really amazing styling. The game loves to punish severely :)

Very nice graphics and it gives me proper retro ps1 crawler vibes. The perspective is spot on and the movement is fine. I do wish I could use arrows or numpad to move and turn.

Combat works well but could be a little bit quicker. Too many delays added.

I hope you develop this further because I want to play more :)

Well done!

PS: I found the secret when you pick up the sword :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Ill try to improve those things when the jam ends

About the arrows/Numpad. At first I thought to add it, but since you use the mouse a lot I found a bit unconfortble. But may work for left handed people I guess. Well, it cost nothing to add it tbh.

This game looks great and plays pretty well too. I get some kings field & silent hill atmosphere in there. Very cool. I'm not really sure how duality applies, but everything else is great.

liked the controls and I'm a sucker for PS1 style graphics so I liked that

intro was short and sweet

the ambience was spot on but wasn't a huge fan of the fight music, it was jarring and completely took me out of the ambience

I liked the text sound

cool inventory!

did you make this by yourself? is so its very impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words!
Well yes, I made all by myself. I was planning to add some original music, but I barely had tme to test the game, so probably i´ll improve and fix some things when the jam ends.
