Gun thing is pretty cool. I had some dificulty to Dash (or it's not doing what I expect). There is some work to do on physics but there is potential in it. Great job.

Really interesting mechanic, loved it! I had to replay the tentacle chase scene because I ended up flying all the way to the end when a box started propelling me haha. Nice work anyway

Woah, the fire looks really cool! I like the gun that the player has, It's a really cool mechanic. It has a few flaws, like I was able to grab a box and infinitely jump off of it, but it's a very cool idea for a game. Nice job!

That was really fun! Definitely some glitchyness, my guy kept kind of tripping and falling over. I also found i could jump infinitely on boxes, which was really fun lol. Lotta great ideas in here, keep developing it!

Physics are a little wonky, but I really enjoy the mechanics and I think with refinement a game like this could be fun to speedrun

Really liked the game and the music is a banger. You should continue to work on it.

But all the parts of the tentacle can lag the game and I could surf the boxes by holding them.

Could you share how you made the tentacle work?

Developer

Thanks! The tentacle is made up of several hinge joints, with the first joint on the gun, and the last on an object that follows the mouse. A specific amount of joints is made based on the distance from the mouse, and then several pixel-sized boxes are given parent joints to follow to give it a visual.

I’m currently looking into a better method with the marching squares algorithm that could reduce lag completely and look better.
