Mod props for making a 3D game in what looks like a 2D game engine. I love the character designs, great job all around. The story was fun, too! Nice game.

This is really cool! I love the mood that the art and music create. You said I should be able to find out about jam's brother, but when I ask anyone about jam's brother, it says something like "I missed one... consider this an easter egg", and I can't seem to progress the dialog any further. I read the .txt files though, and it says there's dialog for that, so I assume its a bug. Its really cool and I loved the characters and the story. Great Job!
I had to change the capital "B" in bro to lowercase in the txt files and it worked.
Hm... Sorry about that. Thanks for catching the bug. That is my fallback text if a line of dialog isn't found for some reason.
I'm going to release a post-jam updated version that fixes some small bugs like that. (Also working on a "full" version in another engine with actual objectives, but that'll be awhile)

I Reaaaally liked the art style and the acid trip background. The way the environment worked with the forced perpective was really cool
This was awesome! I love the janky perspective and the wobbly art and the gameplay of learning a noun from one character and take it to another. Great work!
Thanks! I really liked your game too. I feel like your cocooning in different ways to get different bugs had a similar spirit.
I really enjoyed this one. Played it a bunch of times to see more dialog and learn about the cursed forest inhabited by cosmic beings. Some of those transformations are pretty horrifying looking.
You don't get to say much before you turn into a tree, it'd be nice to have maybe a bit more time to dig into the story before resetting.
The objectives you posted here really help give the game more purpose. Implementing those into the game would be a wonderful motivator for exploring every nook and cranny of the story.
Loved the mood! The art is very simple but from this perspective really unique. Everything fits together very nicely. The dialogues are great. It would be nice to be able to win though. Great job!
I like the game style
Very trippy game! You nailed the mood with a great combination of weird art and audio together. Shame there's not more to do in it because I would've loved to have played it beyond just random conversations.
Thanks! I enjoyed the mood enough that I think I'm going to try doing something more with this post jam. Hopefully I can find the time to actually finish something with a bigger scope.
Also, with the (fair) criticism I've gotten for the lack of objectives, I've decided to make a list in comment here for anyone who wants to have a bit more direction in my walking/talking sim. Just one line of dialog to try and find for each character:
1. Space Octopus - Find out what human has visited his home
2. Jams - Give him closure
3. Eternal Giraffe - Learn what she was able to do without tentacles
4. Debbyrah - Find out why she's here
5. Shanmnund - Find out where they got a cookie
6. Charlesifer - Find out what his old job was
I really like the strangeness of your forest. I do not understand the objective, I suppose you see it as an experiment. Great graphics. It remind me Futurama.
Thanks. There's not really an objective, at least in this jam version. You just chat with the NPCs and see what dialog you uncover. I think maybe I should have let you have more than 10 conversations before you succumb to the forest. I didn't want you to see all dialogue in one playthrough, but right now it takes at least 11 to see everything everyone can say.
I'm not fully satisfied with it from gameplay perspective, but I was pleased with vibe myself. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile reusing this setting and graphical style for something.
Interesting exploratory flat game (or at least i'm assuming it's a flatgame)! I do think that the game would be more fun with a bit more purpose though, but maybe that's just because I'm not necessarily the target audience for this.
I was going to add actual win conditions, but ran short on time. The conversion from paper to digital art took up a lot more time than I expected.
