The combat felt really good and the platforming was solid enough for a jam game!

Solid game great job!

Solid combat! Showing your own health / being able to regenerate health would be nice, but besides that, great entry!

Love the art style and combat and I think the music you chose fits well with what you've created. I think by showing the player their health and having it clearer when the player takes damage you have a really good loop here for a game. It will only get better as you develop it further...

Slick animations and the art style plus the environment bring the game to life. The SFX are great, just one observation is that the sound and animation of the attacks feel like they should be doing more damage. The combat is good and the freeze mechanic keeps it interesting!

Oh wow, this looks great and is really fun to attack enemies. The animations are pretty good + the sound effects makes them even better. Awesome job!

Combat was great. I loved the animations. The liquid looks really good. Nice use of the theme. Great job!

This is fun to play. You mentioned you consider it a tech demo? Do you plan to continue with the idea after the jam? A 2D 'elemental' souls-like sounds pretty fun...

Developer

Yes, I already had the concept in the back of my mind so when I had to restart from zero mid game jam I set for objective only a demo for the freeze mechanic

I'd like to develop the concept in the future

Wow, the juice of the game is amazing. It's super satisfaying to hit enemies with these effects. Very enjoyable, congrats on your submission Galatyne !

Graphics are awesome, love the sound effects too! Encountered one bug when playing, player suddenly stopped moving mid animation in combat. Unless its another part of the freeze mechanic? Its fun though, good job!

Developer

Thank you ! Sadly I discovered the bug 5 minutes after the deadline, I really don't know why it happens because it seems inconsistent

Very cool interaction with the freeze mecanic, (i found a bug if you press double attack (F) sucesively in a enemy he get stuck maybe is something in the states)

Developer

Thanks, sadly the bug happens too rarely for me to understand why it exist in the first place

The code is a mess because I rushed it so I'll probably rescript everything from the ground up

Cool game! It was a little too easy to try running by all the enemies on my last life but then I found the end door leads back to the start haha. I was able to kill 10 enemies with my five lives! They are tough to take down (even with "F" sometmes). This was a fun demo for the water and freezing mechanic.

Developer

Reading the description for knowing how to play around the freeze mechanic is strongly advised !

Good game!!!!!!!!!!

Developer

I haven't had time to polish it but let me know what do you think of the base concept ! Although I regret not having been able to release a more polished product, discovering and learning to use Godot was a very good experience.

Btw there's a bug that, when it happens (quite rarely to be honest), freezes the player or mobs at the end of their attack animation. :') I'd like to say it's a feature in keeping with the Game Jam theme, but unfortunately it's not.
