It sure has a lot of potential if you widen the scope! Thank you for playing it and thinking it was worth exploring further!

You're right on both, I implemented the mute buttons hastily when I experienced brain damage after supporting so many animal shouts, but I never implemented a pause. Thus you have to do a flick to mute the sounds. Fortunately for me the game can be fully played in a short amount of time, and the "MOOOO" usually takes longer to fry brains. Can't argue for the theme part either, I took the easy way out because it was a simple concept I could do with my lackluster coding skills. Thanks for the review !
I can tell it's a good game but I msut be too tired to understand it, I managed to get to level 4 by trying random switches but it's to much for me, how did I even rotate the maze AAAAH
Overall, even if I couldn't get it today (I will retry after some rest), I understand it's a very good game perfectly fitting the theme so I'm still gonna give you a (well deserved) high rating. Art is good audio is good, originality and Themes are top and I bet it would be fun if I understood how it plays
F the boss man all this parkour for THAT?
Jokes asides, impressive work. Art and level design are incredible for a jam, audio is well implemented (albeit earthquake sounds are too directional but I won't hold it against you), and the game really is unique compared to the other entries.
I had a lot of moments when I didn't know what I could do, like at the post earthquake part and at the start of the game (couldn't get out of my booth). Pace was also too slow for my liking. And the input method wasn't with physical keys so walking was a pain ith my AZERTY keyboard (I should've switch with a virtual QWERTY layout but thought the game would be shorter and was too lazy to do so).
Congrats for a game that will easily make it to the top 10/ top 5
Quite easy until the last level where most of the fun of playing with the AI is, it was pretty enjoyable. I have to say the music loop is too short and come back too quickly, by the time you get to the alst level it gets tiring. Game length is appropriate and simple enough for a jam.
Nice game overall!
Succesfully escaped! The start of the last level got me reset a bunch of times and I wondered if it was even possible but it worked out in the end. Also it's always weird seeing Australia being considered the name of the continent too when you're not from the English speaking world, I had to double check this one (Oceania supremacy)
Overall nice short game, well paced with a nice and coherent art style. Always a pleasure to play a game you can actually finish in an appropriate time in a game jam
Really impressive taht you managed to put in a week a game looking a lot like Inscryption! I have to admit I didn't understand what I was doing even after winning, I just placed cards when I could and couldn't understand the rules of the game apart from "cards cost energy, you need to capture tiles". Then I hurr-durred my way to victory :')
I'd love to see you push the game further after this jam
What a lyrical captain! The text was fine the first time, but I really wanted to be able to skip, the 3 other times I had to watch it : 2 times I had reset the game because I didn't scroll your page to see the keybinds and thoughts Q was to go left (Q is A for AZERTY keyboard), and the one time I died "fairly"
Ambience is good, theme is respected, Art is good too, really too bad for the intro part
One of the cleanest looking game! Sadly I can't find the momentum to get past the 3rd obstacle. I agree with the others comments, it takes too much time to build momentum. I do like the interpretation of the theme of inverting worlds.
I'd appreciate a tip for passing the 3rd hurdle because I'd like to see the rest of the game.
I recognized your profile because flap & freeze was one of the game I enjoyed the msot last year, and I played this one with high expectations.
Well I'm not disappointed, I think this one's even better : perfect use of the theme with great originality, and an overall high quality game. Top 10 entry at least

Sure, why not! I'm going to pull the rug out from under you and admit right now that not taking the time to put up a leaderboard is a big mistake. I made one locally with a board and a marker and it was a great success. Would've been incredible for the jam
Got a high score of 3, after which my mallet fell from the table
How do you move the mallet on the vertical axis ? Most of my poor performances are caused by the mallet falling in a hole at start and me not knowing how to get it out before a mouse does it in my place
Good interpretation of the theme and I like the idea of a hardcore "Hit the mole" albeit it appears I suck at it :')
First ever pico8 game I've played and it looks like a good one! Really good pixel art albeit it adds to the difficulty of recognizing the cats. Level 1 is a good introduction to the real game (Level 2) which I sadly failed because I'm ust so tired after this jam.
Definitely one of the nicer entries from the jam.
Graphically a bit too intensive for my hardware, I had to play at a very low framerate. I played until the very hard jump in the sewers, I tried 3 times but well it's a bit too hard for me
By the way what's the white thing in the sewers you can interact with ? I thought it would be useful but it just acs like I touched the green goo
Overall the game shows you did a lot of work for the nice looking voxel environment and the rich dialogues, sadly for performance reasons I couldn't see the end SORRY TIMMY I KNOW YOU HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS BUT I DID LEAVE THE SEWERS BY QUITTING THE GAME :'((
Nice one, I stopped at level 10, if I knew there was a leaderboard I'd have pushed myself a bit more :')
It's a great idea with great execution, walk speed is too slow for my liking and the brain jumping by mistake on the head cause me great pain, but the controls are good, the concept is original and fun, and overall the game is simply well polished for a game jam with nothing really lacking. One of the nice games of the Jam.
