Although the appearance of the alien sometimes made me laugh for some reason, the game is VERY scary and atmospheric. While there is no alien you are just waiting for something unknown, being scared.
The game is very enjoyable and as it has been said the vibe is very nice, with some tweeks here and there like the camera this will be a very nice experience!
thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it!
This is very good. The vibe was near immaculate, a growing sense of dread and terror that really helped build a scene. I think it was paced well and it worked really well!
The only thing letting it down is some of the alien sightings. I really like the photos that were included, but the actual "sightings" of the aliens earlier lingered way too long to be truly scary.
Again, this is a really solid project and I really enjoyed playing it.
thanks so much! I do plan to do a new version outside of the jam with some snappier scares and things. Appreciate the feedback!
Like the ambiguity of the events. Got scared by some aliens.
The frequency of head bob needs to be lowered ~2 times and you are golden.
that head bob bug has been the bane of this build lol. Thanks for checking it out!
Great game, as ever! I unfortunately lost some audio log regards what happened with his daughter and wife, but okay at very ending we can figured out more or less what happened. 10/10 and 5 stars! Super recommended.
The camera bob was really bad, it pulled me right out of the experience. Other than that though, I really enjoyed this little narrative! The tape recorded dialogue was really nice. The scares where you see the aliens should be snappier.
yeah, the camera bob in engine compared to the final build is way off for some reason. Ran out of time before I could fix it for a new build.
There's always something! I could tell it wasn't intentional, it's a real shame, but looking past that its a really good little game!
Good game. The camera bob is a bit too much and it seems to go hay-wire when pressing shift. The game also scales poorly on a 2560x1080 display. The game seems to read the x screen resolution and set the y based on that (in a 16:9 config)
thanks! Didn't have much time to test everything for the jam build so I plan to fix these for a future build.
Great? Nah, This is Excellent horror game with atmosphere of E.T invasion on someone house (with nostalgia VHS effect)
The atmosphere was nice, the pacing was decent. The camera bob is way too much but otherwise a neat experience.
super cool atmosphere, loved the downpitched voice over.
thanks for checking it out!
REALLY COOL GAME :)
IT WAS A BIT CONFUSING AT TIMES THOUGH, A LOT OF UNCLEAR OBJECTIVES LED TO JUST BUMPING INTO EVERYTHING WAITING FOR THE PROMPT. I LOVED THE VHS FILTER AND ALL OF THE SORT OF AUDIO TAPE STUFF. THE MOTION BOB IS WAYYYY TO VERTICALLY LIKE BOBBY YKNOW ESPECIALLY WHEN SPRINTING, ANDDD THE INTERACTION PROMPTS BLENDED INTO THE ENVIRONMENT BECAUSE OF THEIR COLOUR (THE RADIO PROMPT) AND THE TV MADE NOISE BUT ALSO THE RADIO NEXT TO THE BED WAS EMITTING IT THAT WAS A TAD CONFUSING AND I ACCIDENTALLY WATCHED THROUGH THE WHOLE PROGRAM TWICE, ALSO ONE MORE THING YOU CAN ONLY GET INTO THE BED FROM ONE SIDE. I REALLY REALLY REALLY LIKE THE TITLE SCREEN + ALL OF THE CUTAWAYS TO THE TRANSCRIPT SEGMENTS
thanks for giving it a play! Appreciate it!
I'll bring a video today or tomorrow. I guess today still. I liked so as others coming from you, pal. Thanks to share this one either. I rate 5 stars, super recommended.
thanks so much, I appreciate it!
