Was not expecting that ending at all, nice job!

Reminded me of games I use to play as a teen and that was really nice. I also enjoyed the protagonists complete rejection of romance (from what I played) vs the other characters blatent interest,

Thanks, glad you liked it. I've been told before that some of my games have a 'newgrounds' vibe to them, maybe that's why it feels familiar lol.

Oh god lol this one was so weird. :) I love how you leaned into its offthewallness!

NGL, it's a little addictive to grind those stats. And I loved how each area had its own theme, a color scheme, its own associated romantic interest, etc. Good choice putting Coco on the cover, she's the best.

It would have been great if every location had its own minigame, just like the farm.

Also I, uh, think I got a bad ending. :)

thanks a lot. I had planned to put in multiple minigames originally but didn't have time for it. Maybe in the update game jam I can fix that. XD

Game was cute!! Art was cute!! I like the magical school/academy idea and the feature of doing different things at night was clever in my opinion.

To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of Visual Novels because of my attention span, so I found it hard to keep my attention in one place for all of the dialogue, which was most of the game understandably, since it's a ren'py game. But I WANTED to pay attention because of the world being so interesting and so much going on.

I'm also probably not the target audience for this game because I'm not the biggest fan of NSFW type games *Usually. Not that this one was entirely NSFW or anything, or at the least I didn't encounter a scene that was explicitly explicit in my short time playing because I sorta had a feeling it would go sexual and I got a tad uncomfy with everyone seemingly wanting in my slime-person's pants. The constant crude nature of it left me feeling jarred tbh, but that's just me so nothing personal. But of course they live in a different world where I assume this is normal for them. This is just my personal opinion or feeling that I wanted to offer from a different perspective and not meant as a judgement in anyway!

BUT even beyond that, I was drawn in by the world building, so you did a good job!

There was a lot of creativity in the story and I can tell there was love put into the art and I loved the character's designs <3

All in all, positive ratings from me!!

I wish you luck in your future GameDev endeavors!!

Glad you liked it even though it's not quite your thing. (that means I succeeded at something at least lol)
In truth it's not actually nfsw it's more like pg13 ( I just put the pg16 to warn folks)
if I were to say I have an audience it's people that like anime, like dragon ball with it's master roshi, Yuyu Hakusho with it's main character, or FLCL with it's everything.
If it's not something you are already into/familiar with then it probably comes off as poorly written fanfiction lol, which it pretty much is.

I would have liked to send this over private message or email, but I can't seem to find any contact information.

I saw that this game was made with ren'py, and wanted to look at someone else's work for reference. As I am also using ren'py to submit something for the farmjam. I downloaded and played through the game, and I'm confused about a couple things.

There are stats, and it seems like multiple paths, as there are choices for who you can spend time with, but, at the same time, I have no idea what the stats do, or if the choices make any difference to the ending.

I opened the script.py file, to see if i could just follow the 'flowchart' of choices, and have no idea how this game is coded, none of the dialogue is contained in the script file? I am a novice at the game engine, but I didn't know it was possible to code it in such a way.

As for the plot itself, I feel like i am being dropped into a pre-existing setting, and mostly lost. A lot of the character art I only saw a single time, and am mostly confused as to what the ending is about, or what is even happening. I did read the brief 'dev commentary' at the end, but it didn't really clear up my confusion.

Thanks for any answers.

C:
Hello, we updated our profile so there's a method to contact us now.

There are stats, they're a leftover from having remade the game 3 times during the game jam, and though they don't do anything yet, they will likely be more important in a future update (There is an update game jam happening later this year that was part of the initial plan for this). As for paths, how you spend your time at night won't change the endings 'except for one ending' but rather it gives new perspective on the world and lore itself.

as for the code and dialogue, everything is archived. So there is no way to view the actual script 'thank god', it's a bloody mess full of weirdness that should never see the light of day lol.

To fully get the story you'll need to replay and go through every character's path at night, there should be four of them, David, Coco, Bunneh, and Harvest. Then also see all three endings. It is meant to be a little vague at the end, but it should make more sense as you play through the character's stories and see different perspectives.

Playing the first game in the series and reading the comic may help provide additional info but is not necessary to understand the story of this game. (at least if I did my job right lol)
