Really cool game. I like the switching gravity mechanic mixed in with platforming.  Great work!

Nice innovative twist ! It’s a nice challenge and the level design is on point. I would say that the UI could use some work, as it’s the not the most visible or easy to navigate at points. Great job!

Please check out my game ! :D Escape Path Beta

Nice atmosphere and style. Quite a difficult game too. The main thing I think it's missing is just keyboard controls for the menus.

Developer

Thanks that's a good idea

I got hooked almost immediately. It's a lot of fun and it brings a really refreshing challenge to other square and spike micro platformers! I really appreciate the quick but fair learning curve, introducing the easier elements quickly and then jumping into high gear with the blue zone. I also thing you nailed the ambiance. The sound design is so perfectly chill, complementing the experience without standing out to or annoying the player after hearing the gravity swap and death sounds over and over.

Now, back to trying to beat level 7!!

Great job!

very cool and interesting game especially since it was made in two weeks. only thing i would suggest is a maybe a more varied theme song or maybe a different theme song for the last 5 levels if the time is there to develop, that is.

Developer(+1)

Thanks I was going to but couldn't find a song I liked.

Hello! Thanks a lot for making this game! I just finished celeste, so I was in the mood for another platformer :p The idea of switching gravity is really nice, and gives an interesting dynamic to the usual platformer. Usually I dont really like this 'floatyness' in the jumps, but here I did not mind it so much, maybe because of the gravity swap.
One point of feedback I have is on the hitboxes of the spikes. I would always urge to the side of the player, i.e. better to make them too small than too big. Now it felt a bit frustrating sometimes, becuase it felt like I should not have died there. (I guess there are two ways to fix it: make the hitboxes smaller, or make the spikes larger.) The music and atmosphere are great as well! They fit the game perfectly ^_^
One other point of feedback is that it might be nice to communicate to the player a bit more what way gravity currently faces. Of course it is kind of obvious when you are standing on the ceiling, but still some particles the go the other way would be cool. Maybe even a game mechanic where you have blocks that fall in a certain direction, depending on the direction of your gravity.
Sorry for the long post, hopefully it is at least somewhat helpful! I actually also made a platformer for this gamejam that you could check out in return, if you are interested :p

I am happy it was helpful! And thanks for your interest in my game! You will probably be the first random person on the internet to try it, so I am very excited to hear what you think ^_^ Haha, yeah, celeste was really nice! I am now trying to get all those B-sides, but it is very tricky

Developer

Yeah I only managed to find one of them took a lot of time but got there in the end will leave a review for you tomorrow:)

I had fun with it, the level design was great! I sometimes felt hitboxes were just a bit off, although it could be I'm just bad hahaha :)

Developer

yeah I will adjust them I think I made them a bit too big!
