Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for playing! 😄

Really creative, love the UI design!

I used to love playing Brick Breaker! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for calling that out! Had Dark Reader on and I didn't notice 😅 it should be fixed now.

Really well done, congratulations.

10/10 no notes this is the funniest game jam submission I've ever seen

Intro goes unbelievably hard. I dig the art style, and love the PS1 vibes. Nice job!

This atmosphere is great. Really like the art style and sounds, and the puzzles were fun to solve, if a bit easy. (Really enjoyed the physics of connecting the wires)

Perfect idea for a 20 second game. The music is great, and the messages at the end of each attempt are charming 🙂

Love the art!!

This is rad. Love the art, and I really like that you can play with 2 people!

I LOVE THE ARTSTYLE OMG. This was so cool!!

Echoing that the font was hard to read. Like the concept though, and really love the art style!

Love the high-energy music, and the incorporation of first-downs as checkpoints. Really creative stuff and tons of fun too. Nice job!

Would love to see the idea fleshed out with some more levels, but this is incredibly impressive to put together in 48 hours. Well done!

Awesome, creative game loop!

Always a fan of boomerang projectiles, and this game nailed them imo. As others have already said, being able to skip through the intro text at my own speed would've been nice, but it didn't detract from the actual gameplay (which was pretty fun). Very solid submission!

The art style for this game is really great. The animations/character designs remind me a lot of Psychonauts' figment collectables.

As many have already said, I'd like an option to skip through dialogue you've already seen for QoL.

Tough platformer with a cool concept. Continuously adding on obstacles to one level is a great way of training the player to traverse through the level and use their muscle memory from their last run. Good job!

The lasso controls are a little confusing and unintuitive but once I figured it out, I had a great time wrapping enemies up to destroy them. Would like to see this gameplay mechanic a little more fleshed out in the future, as well as music/sfx.

I also ran into a bug where my ship exploded as I was drawing the lasso, and the lasso just kept drawing indefinitely.

I really liked completing this game! At first it was a little frustrating that you couldn't move objects through the environment, but I realized it probably would've made the game too easy otherwise. My only feedback would be to add music and sound fx, but overall, a great job on this submission!

Really cool take on Snake and good level design (especially the last level). With some music and more levels, I would love to play more of it.

This game has some really creative level design and some of the best low-bit artwork I've seen in a while. Great job!

Really fun! The Path of Trust destroyed me every time

Thanks for playing!

What a fun game. Having the dynamics represent the difficulty was a cute touch. I would definitely play this game all the time if it had more levels. I'm always impressed when someone can make a fun (let alone functional) rhythm game for a game jam submission, and you've managed to do both! Great job!

Why is this so addicting? This game is simple but polished and has a great system of implementing the minigames with the theme. Like Point Vertex said, the satisfaction of beating a puzzle is surprisingly refined for a game jam submission. Well done!

I would hang out with Mr Smiley

Really enjoyed completing this game! I noticed a few bugs but nothing game-breaking in my playthrough.

  • You can spam the reload button on the enemy wave level, allowing you to essentially never run out of bullets. Maybe a small reload timer could fix it?
  • Slimeking was stuck shooting on the right side of my screen for a lot of the boss fight, making it pretty easy to beat him
  • A fun visual glitch where you can have your gun sprite on both sides if you put your cursor over the player (doesn't actually let you shoot from both guns at once, but is still a funny glitch)

Overall, I really enjoyed the look of the game and loved the minigame aspect of it. Good job!

Once you get a hang of the controls, it was hard to put to down! I think adding some type of health bar or some other type of indicator on how many times you can hit the wall would be helpful, since I didn't know what the metric was for the player's HP (I think it's based off the tail length, but it doesn't seem to be 1-1 with the food pickups, which is a little confusing). I never managed to make ti past the first level, but I really enjoyed what I played! The color scheme is great too :)

Tons of fun but the difficulty ramps up quick!

The art style and color palette are really striking. The animations have a handmade quality to them that helps give this game a ton of personality/atmosphere. The camera freezing mechanic is great and has a lot of potential for level design. Although the platforming (especially some collisions) doesn't feel as polished as the art, I really enjoyed playing this game. Good job!

The fact that ULTRATORO manages to be fast paced without ever being disorienting is quite a feat. This game is tons of fun and has the potential to be a really solid racer with more levels. I'll definitely be following this game's progress. Awesome job!

I would play an entire game with this art style, no joke. This game just exudes style and charm.  Jumping can be a little finnicky, and some platforming bits are tough when the cursor leaves the screen. Great work, nonetheless. Would love to see this project expanded outside of the jam!

Visually impressive, but I think there's a balance between minimalistic design and player feedback that could be improved. The obstacles/enemies can be hard to see (partly because of how the level is lit) and using the void barrier doesn't seem to make it any easier. Other than that, I had a great time wandering through the level, taking in the sights.

Music is very good. I really liked the mechanic of having to go forward on the screen to loop behind yourself, instead of the player being able to move backwards. That helped differentiate it from your typical space arcade shooter.

Your WebGL build might have issues with compression. If it's the same issue I was having, turning off compression in your Player settings might fix it.

Once you get a hang of the controls, it's a ton of fun! Great job, really dig the music too!

Got stuck in an endless loop (probably unrelated to the theme, lol) in the gate section by the old witch's house saying there's dark energy. No matter what button I pressed, the text kept popping up and it wouldn't disappear.

Love the game's art and animation. It's a nice black-and-white version of low bit graphics and looks just like an original Game Boy game in the best way possible.
