  • Cool game ! Was fun, engagin and easy to understand. I wish I could've had some progression, upgrades to unlock or new enemy type, I kind of found a sweet spot where I was able to not get hit by the zombies so it felt like it could go forever and it made it a bit repetitive because of that. Cool game, nice concept, I liked it.
  • This is a fun idea that I think could be elevated with a few adjustments to player experience. The first thing I think could help a lot is adding a mini-map or giving the player the option to zoom the camera out to see the whole area. I would often lose survivors because I couldn't seem them getting attacked until they were already dead. I think the way the flashlight worked was also pretty frustrating. Because it was an aura around the player and made the survivors walk towards you but stop at a certain point, it got a bit frustrating trying to manipulate myself between them and the zombies to get to the rescue point. I think making it work more like an actual flashlight where you could point the circle at a spot away from you to move survivors to would have been a lot more fun and interesting. In kind of a similar vein to the need to zoom out, I think having powerups randomly spawn around was a very good choice as it makes the player chose between saving people and getting stronger. But since they disappear after a bit you usual just miss them unless you happen to be near one when it spawns. Something to call out when a new one spawns could have been really good. Overall, I think this is a really solid base for a game that with a few tweaks could be a really enjoyable experience

i like the game keep up the good work but tiny red outline around the zombie will help alot to point them as enemies well done !

This is great! Polished well, everything looks great and sounds retro. Very good on the use of theme too. I enjoyed the game.

I like it a lot! I'm getting the same vibes I used to get when playing late 90's 2D games on my first iMac. Excellent work on the sound effects and music, too. I had a lot of fun 😁

I like it. Can you turn off the health bars?

Good game, although as with any jam game, I have some nitpicks for you.

1) While the concept is cool, and I like the use of the theme, the game gets repetitive really fast. While this is a jam, so I don't really fault you for it, but it did drag the game down a bit.

2) I wish the map was a little smaller. It would make it a bit more realistic to save all the survivors, because as of now, they die off screen constantly and it doesn't always feel like my fault that they die. Another solution would be to reduce the spawn rate of the survivors. It's just a little hard to manage imo.

Overall though, good game! I liked the art, the gameplay, while not much, was still pretty enjoyable, and the soundtrack and sounds were great. Nice job!

(Also if you could play, rate, and give feedback to my game as well that would be great)

This is an engaging entry! Not being able to shoot while guiding survivors is a cleverly designed tradeoff that made things interesting. I think it would've made more sense thematically if the game took place at night though. And zombies had a chance of spawning right next to me so I took unavoidable damage on occasion from that.

Funky! The art style reminds me of early flash games. Tricky but good.

Good submission, the zombies are ultra aggressive but if you persist you get used to their behavior.

Liked the interpretation of the theme, and especially the 8-bit music/sfx.

game is pretty fun and chaotic, it was slightly annoying at first how fast zombies were compared to the survivors but  eventually I got used to it, added to the chaos factor. Also bit of a nitpick but logically I think the game should've taken place during night, I wouldn't want to follow someone shining a light in my face during the day lol.

And interesting concept - I didn’t quite get what I was supposed to be doing at first, but then when I flicked the flashlight, I then got the hang of it. There are some glitches where the zombie is on me and I’m not getting hurt and I’m not hurting the zombie, but overall seems like a solid entry.
