  • Really nice art. Thank you for the generous hit box on the sword, I would rerally miss my swings. My only problem was that it quickly felt repetitive and I didnt have any sense of progression, the rooms felt alike and getting to a chest would give me back some HP then a whole that felt just like I was starting over, I gave up after 4 floors, cause it felt like it would go forever, without any clear goal. Really nice art, well put together, good entry.

This game rules. Roguelikes are an ambitious project for a game jam, and while this one is a bit thin on content, what's here is stylish and polished. I'm not overly fond of the control scheme—I'd really like to be able to aim the attack if I'm clicking for it, although I can see how that could cause issues for the animation. My main complaint is probably that the hitboxes feel a bit clunky, like they default to the dimensions of the sprite rather than thinking about the physical space occupied by the subject it depicts. That said, I had a lot of fun with this. The enemies are adorable and the player character design of a standard roguelike hero with creepy possessed eyes is funny

Very fun! I like the roguelike elements. The goofy art style made everything fun.

The attack feels great, it has a ton of punch to it. Controls may be a little floaty for the type of game it is.

Nice entry.

I like the Binding of isaac style, the animations are also cool and the drawing style is also very good. Great job!!

Come by our game I would like to know what you think :)

I like the binding of Isaac style controls explanation, and the character and enemies are very well drawn and animated. I didn't feel much that I was playing the sword and not the hero, and I don't see the theme, but besides that, great work!

Well made art, liked that shake effect when attacking. Good base for more content.

A solid entry. Good art and music with good controls. I think the “guide” is a tad stretched, but it is good fun :)

Pretty nice! I like the audio and art.

Small problem that the others noticed too though: camera glitches when transitioning and using certain inputs that cause screen shake.

Not bad! I liked the audio and the mechanics were pretty fun, but there is a couple thing that dragged it down a bit.

1) Camera glitch. Someone else already mentioned this, but making certain inputs during a transition causes the camera to not go fully into the other room. By spamming buttons a bit, I was able to get it completely stuck in between 4 rooms.

2) Lack of variation. Keeping the same two enemies and one weapon made the game start to feel repetitive and boring after a while. A couple more enemies, or traps, or weapons, or really just anything to spice it up would've been nice.

3) The tile set art. While the character and the enemy looked pretty good, the tile set used for the walls doesn't really match. On top of that, the floor is all just a solid color. At the beginning of the game, I couldn't tell the walls were walls so I thought it would be a wave based thing so I waiting for like 15 seconds for something to happen in the starting room.

4) I didn't really get the use of the theme. While I know that you are the sword "guiding" the player, it doesn't change the game at all. The game would be the same without the theme.

Overall though, I enjoyed the game.

(Also if you could play, rate, and give feedback to my game that would be much appreciated)

pretty fun!! one little issue is that if you click while the camera transitions to another room, it lags behind a little
