The music creates this deep sea atmosphere which I really like. The different creatures were interesting. I ended up dying to a shark at 2min 5 seconds. :D Nice job on the game!
lol thanks
Managed to survive for 1 minute 58 seconds. Pretty fun survival take. Liked the feeling of powerlessness in the face of the shark and the eel. Good job!
thx alot
Really a hard game, principally the hunger mechanics, they got me a lot. I got stuck in a "cave" once with no escape, not sure if this is supposed to happen but I could not find a place to leave.
*sigh* someone found the bug I could not fix
lol, I guess I am sorry (• ▽ •;)
Pretty hard but engaging
Really Cool 👍
thx so much
I survived approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds ;-; It's a very difficult game, but a really cool idea. I believe it has potential if you add some new mechanics. Perhaps a safe zone where you can buy upgrades?
there is no safety in the deep reef :)
I like this, really complex game too, i wish there was more food the higher and deeper you go. cause it was really hard to find food while exploring and the big moster fish, snakes etc were really intimidating. well done.
thx
Having to track my sanity as a fish is hilarious. I liked that I got it back near other fish of my kind. The slipperiness of the controls was neat, and I enjoyed pinwheeling my way away from jellyfish while paralyzed.
thx
I actually enjoy the slipperiness of the controls because you end up drifting and it adds a bit of challenge, but I have no idea if that's intended or not. I do wish there was more visual feedback. A rule I tend to go by is that any important sprite changes should be accompanied by sound effects and vice-versa. The map design was also pretty interesting.
The slipperiness was intended. I only really added sound effect for bad things that happen (like getting bitten by a shark), as that would make the bad more noticeable than if sound effects were played with every single action.
Loved the interesting take on the theme and the survival mechanics were pretty solid. I would love if I didn't need to use wasd and could just go in the direction of the mouse, other than that it is an awesome game.
Wasd is just a classic in most games so I went with that.
The exploring was nice, the movement feels a bit floaty though and I didn’t get why I needed to use the mouse? I reached a part where there was a big shark that looked really cool! :)
u can use the mouse to jimmy your way through tight corridors
The world generation was really cool! The amount of stats was interesting as well. The only feedback I'd have is if you had more time a mini map would've helped a lot in terms of making the game feel more fair to the player as sometimes I'd go down a long corridor just for it to be a dead end and then get blasted by crabs on the way out hahaha. Overall, a really cool game! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for playing my game! The reason why I added so many stats was to parody the hardcore survival games that try to be super realistic by adding 10000000 mechanics.
