We ended up pivoting two days before and didn't have an artist so go easy on the art <3

Really interesting and creative approach to the gameplay. I had a bit of trouble figuring out the filter, but overall, it is fun to play. I played it against myself and lost track of my fish many times. The AIs are good. Good job for making the game~
Good coop concept, had fun playing !
Thanks for playing!
Fun co-op idea. Great entry.
this is a good game I think. unfortunately, I have no friends
LOVE the concept. I was unfortunately having trouble picking up anything and just had to hope my fisherman didn't notice me since I couldn't do anything with the filter. Very fun though!
Yaaa, one thing I struggled with was making the pickup effect obvious. Basically you have to stand near the rock/algea/food for 2 seconds to pick up the item, and then you can swim into the filter or drop it over the filter with E. Thanks for the feedback and playing the game! I really appreciate it
I dont have any friends to play with :c... but the gameplay is very cool ! good job :D
Very cool that you were able to put together a two player deduction/hiding game for the jam. The fish movement is pretty good for hiding amidst, so nice job on that!
Cool concept! I played as the fisherman and managed to win both times B) It was pretty hard though because there's so many fish and it felt like they moved pretty organically :D Considering you didn't have an artist the art is actually quite endearing :D
Really creative concept - there really aren't enough asymmetric couch multiplayer games out there. I had trouble picking up stuff as the fish but maybe that s just me sucking lol
Thanks for playing! And ya, the pickup I wasn't sure the best way to go about doing it because I didn't want to make it too obvious when something was being picked up as the fisherman already has a slightly easier time than the fish. Do you have any suggestions?
This is a very unique concept for a game. I like how the player playing as the fish has to discretely find out who he is without the fisherman noticing him.
Really brilliant concept! I like the idea of an asymmetric, single screen game, and it resonates really well with the fishing themes. I think rather than having the explainer text, a short tutorial would go a long way towards communicating how to play to the player. Overall, great work!
Ya, I'm a sucker for asymmetrical games. Hahaha, ya, one of my biggest weaknesses is forgetting about the tutorial until the very end. If you were to make a tutorial for this game, how might you go about doing it? I appreciate the feedback!
Maybe you could do a short 2 phase animation, with the hook catching the fish that stands out, and then a fish pulling an item to the filter?
This is a FANTASTIC idea. I love the concept of trying to stealth a coop game. It did take a few rounds to fully realize what I was supposed to do. A little more explanation at the beginning would improve it a lot. Still, so fun and I think you could go really far with this one!
Hahaha, ya, I always forget to do a tutorial until the end and then don't have enough time to make it actually understandable. I appreciate the feedback!
A bit confusing and overwhelming, but great idea and visuals, Bold move to make a couch co op only game!
:D
Hahaha, yaaaa, especially for an online game jam, but I was working with a friend so it was easy to test, but I'm sure it will mean a lot of people don't get the game. I appreciate the feedback!
